After using SuperCruise and Bluecruise I can say the technology is not perfect. It's great most of the time if the sensors are calibrated correctly, but there's too much room for error to completely rely on it. SuperCruise is slightly better, but they're comparable.
It's a nice supplemental...
Brakes at startup? Is this happening on a level surface?
If so, it sounds like your Hill Start Assist is active and the sensor needs to be checked out.
Using Hill Start Assist
1. Press the brake pedal to bring your
vehicle to a complete standstill.Keep
the brake pedal pressed and shift into...
It sounds like you're doing all the right things...and more...staying with the scheduled service is a sound way to go.
As mentioned by the previous posts, I would include preemptively replacing fluids: brake (if not performed during brake work,) transmission and transfer case.
The spark plugs...
The following parts are still available. Most are NEW in the original packaging.
You won't find lower prices :)
$10 - Lower Armrest Console Organizer - keep all your stuff from moving around
$25 - Rough Country 1/4" Wheel Spacers - If you want a set of F150 wheels, you'll need these on the...
Sounds like a nice setup. Let us know how it works out!
As for wheels and tires, you have a lot of options. I tried several. Bigger wheels with smaller (and more stiff) sidewalls will give you good road feel. The OEM setup on my '19 Platinum Max was great for towing but going with Michelin...
Another shop or Ford store is a good idea. I would want a compression check with detailed results. If there are low cylinders, I would put a camera snake down there and take pics of the damage.
You can use the app to mirror a video.
If you search RSE for Rear Seat Entertainment you'll find several threads on it that discuss the quirks. It's not a very good or intuitive system.
You can download the RSE supplement from the Ford owner's website.
Most people give up and install an...
I've done it with some other vehicles, but not the Expedition. Watch out for the electrical plugs under seat (it's easy to miss one and rip it out) and be careful with the carpet trim clips.
Let us know how it turns out!
The technology has been around for a over a decade.
I tried it on several vehicles. With the Expedition, I never trusted it. The two times I tried using the feature I had to intervene to prevent contact with another vehicle.
That said, great idea for people that can't park but the...
Agree with @2020-MAX-Limited If the light is staying on, the circuit is open it could be physical or a bad wire, which I doubt.
The latch may have moved out of alignment or the electrical mechanism might be broken. Just to confirm, is it the lift gate or the lift gate glass?
@RichCam check a...
The stock tires are not designed with the lower noise levels found in models like the Michelin Defender.
You can try a strategy that includes more quiet tires and sound deadening. Start in the floor panels around the fenders and move toward the center.
Personally I would just go with tires...
A few years ago I had auto insurance through the AAA Auto Club. They had a rider for modifications. You just told them the dollar amount and they added it to the policy.
I had a '19 Platinum with CCD. I don't think yours has it so my first thought is one of the shocks are defective. By default, the suspension is sloppy under certain conditions. Adding sway bars with urethane bushings or just urethane bushings will help a lot.
Be careful what you put inside.
I can't guarantee this will work, but I've used it on sensitive electronics and had positive results.
WD-40 Contact Cleaner
Before I had the ESP I had to fend for myself to find rental cars and it took forever to get my truck in the queue. After getting the ESP, they could see it on my account and arranged the rental car. My issues were addressed almost right away. It may have to do with where I live, but as long as...
Good job! I hate it when they try to take advantage of customers.
I went to Lombard a couple years ago and they had the best price on the ESP. Everything was online and very convenient.
The 'extended warranty' (it's insurance,) is a good way to go when you have a vehicle with expensive...
Exactly right.
No one mentioned this prior to my install a few years ago, but you'll see it easily when the old ones come out.
OEM end links worked fine for years with the bar in the correct orientation.
In the future, if you want to see if the store is trustworthy, buy the chemicals and watch the Tech do it. If they won't let you watch, than find another dealership.
You can also take a samples before and/or after the fact and send them to a company like Blackstone Labs to do an analysis.
