Car Seats in the 3rd Row

I'd second the max. 1wk vacation with rented max and we were too spoiled to look at anything else. Bought our own as soon as we were expecting #3. We took car seats and luggage to dealerships to test other vehicles. Very quickly ruled out older Traverses due to lack of tip/slide making 3rd...

    Plugs and Boots Questions

Appreciate the reply, I had searched here but embarrassingly I hadn't thought to hit YouTube yet. Thinking about it more and you have a point, every time I've done plugs and wires the vehicle has been much older. Inevitably at least one of the boots sticks to the plug and the wire/boot usually...

Car Seats in the 3rd Row

How wide are the boosters? Our Graco is about 18" at widest (cupholder) and eats about 20" when centered on the seat. If we had 2 of them, I'd estimate you'd only have about 13" between them.

Car Seats in the 3rd Row

We ran 3 across the 2nd row for 6mo and like wakeboarder mentioned you only issue could tip/slide if you want to access the 3rd row. At the time we were running Chico KeyFit 30 base on driver's side for baby, and both the others were in front facing config Britax boulevard. So access to 3rd...

    Plugs and Boots Questions

Expy is wife's vehicle, so beyond vacation I really only drive it on the weekends, but it's done a couple things that make me wonder if it needs plugs/boots. Approx 45-50k like some other threads mention. Anyway, for those of you that have done plugs / boots yourselves: 1) How bad was it to...

Third row headliner seatbelt won't stay in holder

I have this problem too...it's caused by a little girl (possibly two) that for some reason think it is fun to pull it out and play with it when they get in the 3rd row.

    Autostop Eliminator

Installed mine today too. Quickly shipped. Pretty professional looking little harness with their name on it and everything. Video and .pdf instructions on their site were spot on. The trim was pretty tight, but taking time took maybe 15min and it worked just as advertised. Nice little...

    4DTech Auto Start/Stop?

Free shipping + discount code was enough to push this from wish list item to on its way. Thanks all

Tire cable/chains on rear only for 4x4 too?

Reason most chains cannot be mounted on front is the upper ball joint and break lines. If you can get some they will be called class s chains. Autosocks are junk if you need real traction device. Maybe acceptable if you're only looking to check the box in case of being pulled over. Typically...

    Cell Phone Holder recommendations?

I don't have one, but I have been considering one of these. Really like concept of fitting in seams without holes or anything.... pretty spendy though by the time you get bracket and then actual phone holder https://www.proclipusa.com/vehicle/dashboard-mounts/820-ford-expedition/2018

    Metal Clicking when accelerating??

Another one from fairly recently https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/loud-intermittent-noise-transmission-or-differential.44994/

Loud intermittent noise - transmission or differential?

Sure sounds like ours when the iwe valve hose assembly was failing. Did this maybe 6wks ago on 2018 xlt. was helpful to me to diagnose. Symptoms for us were that it only did it when lugging engine and would stop immediately if you let out of it. Took all of 3min to replace.

    Raptor style grill?

I'd like to see it in just "chicken wire" form with no letters personally. But I don't hate it as much as I thought I would. I'm also with Rx7, why show it compared to the best looking stock grille

    Noise when unlocking/locking

I think you're describing the fuel pump priming...or what I have assumed is fuel pump. I figure with the push button start, the vehicle doesn't really have a way to know "I am about to be started" like the first position of a key ignition would typically provide, so its queue is someone opening...

    Wrapped C-Pillar

Bump, anyone have a straight on close photo? Did you end up with a noticeable gap at window edge? Anyone figure out the trim part numbers from the Nav and go that direction for this look?

    Wrapped C-Pillar

https://www.flickr.com/photos/188215904@N08/shares/bj4p96 He said that trim area noted with green would come off and be straightforward to wrap...no problem. He said there might be a sliver of white showing along the window noted with yellow. But his main concern was the point circled in red...

    Wrapped C-Pillar

I don't think I have enough posts under my belt to add a photo so links below.... Also these poorly edited screenshots are pretty sad but get the point across. This would be my understanding of the vehicle pillar letters as they apply to the Expedition...

    Wrapped C-Pillar

For some of you guys that have had the C-Pillar wrapped...Garrett...phorn73... Has it held up okay? Any problems in a car wash? I went to our local tint shop yesterday and asked about this and he didn't seem too excited to do it because he didn't think it would hold up very well...

    2019 XLT 202A FX4 or Limited 300A

Sunroof: We had rented an 18 XLT Max w/o sunroof for a vacation roadtrip and really liked it. Several months later when we started looking to buy one we came across one with the vista roof. We didn't really want it but was not a deal-breaker for us at the time... until we sat in it. We were...
