That was one of the benefits I remembered finding when comparing the 19 vs 20s. Another odd one was that they deleted the 6 speaker stereo in the xlt. It doesn’t say what it changed it too but I felt like between the tip and slide delete and lower quality base stereo Ford was trying to cut...
I bet we’re going to have to wait for aftermarket tail lights from China (probably still years out). Ford made it pretty tough to change over by design.

This is all great feedback. I was willing to accept a slightly firmer less cushy ride when going to the 22's. The factory 20's just werent doing it for me. I'll play with different PSI once we get back to driving again. Being cooped up like this hasnt allowed me to get any wheel time to see what...
I think the light comes on about 34 so 35 would stop it. I wonder how that low of pressure would affect wear? Do they wear faster when Over or under inflated?
Looking to see what PSI you are running with Michelin LTX Defender M/S tires with 22's.
Our vehicle came with 20" Rims and Toyo's but we recently put on the 22" Platinum Rims and I opted for the Michelin Man!
The sticker inside the door called for 39lbs but again that was with the smaller 20"...
You should have seen the look on my face when I crawled under our Expo today. We have a 202A XLT that came with the 20" Rims with Toyo tires. To my surprise there was a 17" steel wheel with Goodyear Wrangler tire.
Did someone pull a fast one and swap it w/o me knowing or is this standard fare...
Sounds great. In the meantime would you mind sending pix? Trying to get a better idea what they look like. Trying to see all the differences compared to what came stock on our XLT. Also, they'd have to be bolt on/compatible right?
Body shop sent me more detailed parts diagrams today. There's different base assemblies which the inserts connect to. Long story short its a no go and not worth the $ it would take to complete.
When we bought our 202A XLT it had about $10k in rebates last NOV and like $1k on Limited and above...
So! In my never ending quest of dressing up our XLT a bit we hit a major snag this week. We contacted our local Ford Parts Dept and ordered the lower Platinum Grill insert and ordered the center and upper section off ebay used. The parts dept insured us that the part#'s showed compatibility...
I had my 2012 f150 for 6 years and put about 80k on it. In that time the only brakes I replaced were the rear pads somewhere around the 50-60k mark. I thought it was strange too so glad to hear I’m not alone.
