My situation was similar but not quite the same as what your experiencing. At around 85,000 miles I started noticing a rubbing/howling noise when making low-speed turns. It seemed to get worse with cold weather. Eventually I started experiencing a little bit of a shudder when I first started...
I honestly wouldn't know what to look for even if they had let me take a peek. I asked what the problem was and what caused it. I don't fully remember their answers, but essentially he said that when they tore down the differential, it was full of metal. I asked what caused it and they said it...
The shop said it needed a while new diff. I've only been going to this mechanic for about a year, but they've always seemed very honest and fair, so I don't have any reason to distrust them.

Welp, hope that your problem ends up being different from mine. I finally got around to taking my expedition to the shop... It needs a new rear differential.

I've only owned my 2016 for about 7 months. Didn't notice it on my test drive. But once I adjusted the seat a few times, it became apparent. It hasn't gotten worse, but I thought that I would eventually get used to it... That hasn't happened yet.

Yep, I've got the same problem. I did some research a while back and I think the most likely cause is some failed plastic bushings inside the lugs that ride on the worm gears that move the seat forward and backward. I just live with it, but it is annoying.

I've only been the owner for a few months so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's an electronic power steering system.

I've got a 2016 with 85,000 mi, and I'm experiencing something similar. Groaning / moaning on cool mornings when making slow turns, but no vibration in my case.
So, I'm interested to hear some theories as well.

Hi there,
I recently purchased a 2016 EL to haul my growing family. I had outgrown my 2008 RAV4 and needed more space. I've always wanted a truck, but at this point in my life, the expedition made more sense.
Glad to have found this forum!
Hi guys, new 3rd gen owner here. I recently purchased a 2016 EL XLT 4X4 with 202A equipment group. It's missing a few items, and i was hoping that y'all could help me ID them:
Weather stripping that attaches to jamb between front and rear driver's side doors (see image below). I believe the...
