2014 Expy EL - rear sway bar only or end links too?

Looking for less sway in the rear. I'm sure the sway bar should be replaced with a thicker unit. End links are cheap. I'll just do everything at once. Thanks all

2014 Expy EL - rear sway bar only or end links too?

Going to install a Hellwig 7688. Wondering if I should go ahead and replace the end links too? Thanks

Thinking of getting a 2016-2017 expedition with V6 - how are they compared to the older V8 5.4 Liter models?

I am on my fourth expy/f150. 2003 Expy (5.4), 2014 F150 (with ecoboost), 2014 Expy EL (5.4), and my current 2000 Expy with a 5.4. My thoughts/observations: Had the the 2003 for 10 years and 200,000 miles and then donated to charity. The engine and tranny were rock stars. It was everything...

    Need Opinions!

I just purchased a 2000 with a little over 100k for $4,900. Stored inside and only driven 10,000 in past 10 years. Owned by older couple that passed away and son just wanted to get rid of it. New Jasper tranny 7,000 miles ago. Had a feeling I would need to replace the ball joints because the...

Looking to troubleshoot. Here's what I have done in the past two months: Right and left upper and lower control arms with new ball joints Alignment Tire rotation and balancing Coil over conversion (removed air suspension front and rear - was sagging and losing air) The steering wheel does not...

2000 Eddie Bauer - Rear sway bar suggestions please

^^^ I see that now. Seems like a poor design. If I don't really crank down on those brackets, it would seem they would really wobble around.

2000 Eddie Bauer - Rear sway bar suggestions please

^^^ I have seen those rear bars. The issue is that on my truck, the mounting points (where they screw into the end links) are vertical whereas in the pics, they appear to be horizontal. Does this make sense?

2000 Eddie Bauer - Rear sway bar suggestions please

Just finished up the air bags to coil over conversion front and rear. Rides great but seems to have some sway in the corners. I realize the front has torsion bars so not sure I want to tackle that yet. The low hanging fruit in the back is the sway bar. What suggestions do you have for the...

    Suspension problems

2000 Expy EB - basically the same as yours. Primarily three components: 1. Air compressor under the hood by the window squirter reservoir, 2. Solenoids, 3. Air bags. I had some sag in my rear and ordered all the parts to replace the bags - bad decision. Could never track down why the bags...

    Air Suspension

Just started the conversion in my 2000 EB with air in all 4 corners. Removing rear bags and installing rear shocks - no problem. Installing the springs was a bit more work. Be sure to have a spring compressor or they're not going in. Driver's side, because of the fuel tank, is a bit of a...

Rear air bag suggestions - 2000 Expy

Just ordered air bags, solenoids, compressor and bracket, and shocks. Fronts seems to be holding up just fine. I'll do those at a later date. Thanks for the advice.

Rear air bag suggestions - 2000 Expy

^^^ I have both rear air bags and front air shocks, so can't just do rear conversion only. It's a 4wd Eddie Bauer. I'll look into the Suncore brand. The fronts seem to be ok for now so might just do rear bags, solenoids, shocks, and compressor. Thanks

Rear air bag suggestions - 2000 Expy

Interesting. Seems like a much bigger job, and I would have to do the front too. Plus all the air lines, etc. Not sure I want to go that route yet. Thanks for the info.

Rear air bag suggestions - 2000 Expy

Rear is a bit saggy, so looking to replace the bags. A few questions: 1. What brand do you recommend? Seen some YT videos and it doesn't look too difficult. 2. Replace air compressor at same time? Mine still seems to work. But as a preventive? 3. Replace the solenoids or just replace the...

    17s or 18s on a 2000 Expy?

Purchased my 2000 Expy a couple months ago. PO had installed 20s with 275/55/20s on it (effectively 32"s). The tires have a lot of life left, so just planning for the future. I don't really wheel much, but when I'm off-road, I typically air down to around 15psi. The 20s are more for looks...

    The dreaded window/run channel

Assuming the new door is fully functioning, my other option is just to paint the new door, and swap out with the old one. The issue here, though, is the ID sticker will be wrong. Not sure I can remove from the old door and stick on the new one.

    The dreaded window/run channel

^^^ Good to know about the rivets. When I took the truck in for some work last week, I asked them to look at the window. The shop said Ford put out a TSB about bending the regulator. They did that, but the channel rubber is too messed up to work properly. Thanks

    The dreaded window/run channel

Front left window channel a bit messed up so as window rolls up, it doesn't stay in the channel. Shop adjusted the mechanism, but window channel has been damaged. Who knew it would be so difficult to find a channel. Finally ended up purchasing an entire driver's side door. Couldn't find...
