I'm impressed you even managed to find that. None of the conversion kits seem to come with UCAs, so it seems to me like that would work just fine. Anyone who knows better feel free to chime in. Good to know about your TRW experience either way, thanks.- SepticFuddy

Finally found someone who managed to help. Leaving this here for anyone else who needs it. That connector has 4 barbs on the inside of the canister and no way to release them apart from simply pulling. However, the two lines going into it have quick disconnects near the tank. This one has a blend door that picks a route between evap + heater core and just evap, which I already fixed the actuator on. Rear A/C not cooling, actuator is fine
When I pulled off the panel to check, one was cold going all the way through the rear TXV to the rear evaporator, and it accepted the rest of the refrigerant I'd bought for the 54 oz. It's hard to say for certain whether it was blowing cold or not since it was a cool morning when I checked it...- SepticFuddy

I just replaced the front evaporator in my '04 5.4L with rear climate control, vacuum tested the system and recharged it. Compass inoperative issue and unknown multipins
After tearing apart the dash to replace the evaporator core, my compass module isn't working. Looking at the service manual, it's telling me to check on "Circuit 1003", without directing me to where that actually is. The connector they show sure looks like one of the three I've left unplugged...- SepticFuddy

Brake lights stuck on
EDIT: Looks like there's been some arcing in the brake switch, dirtied up the contact. Jiggling the wires would turn it on and off. A few passes with a file cleaned it up some but not enough to be truly reliable. Yet another unexpected, unrelated parts expense. Oh well... After wrestling for...- SepticFuddy
