Sorry that a few folks hammered on you for just asking an honest question!
I have the 3/2 Readylift on my 2020 Max with 315 70R17’s…have had that setup for about 2 years. LOVE the look but it is definitely not as tight in steering and has more of a top-heavy roll than some folks might like. It...
How timely - I noticed this same thing on my 2020 Expy today. And it does - it feels like that front-wheel drive torque. But only in 4A. I tried it with and without Sport Mode and it happened on both. I was attributing it to my recent addition of a K&N Cold Air Intake, because the whole rig...
I was concerned about the Load Range E's as well, so I found some Raptor Takeoffs (Load Range C) and they are delightful. Very smooth (almost spongy ride) BFG AT/TA 315 70 R17. (With Raptor 17" rims). I did the lift/level - 3" in the front and 2" in the back. Really pleased with it and it...
Yes sir, I can confirm no rubbing even at full lock!
There is some thick black rubber at the front of the wheel well (sound/dust protection) and it was unnecessarily baggy and was trying to rub when we first put the tires on. We unscrewed those little screws (5.5mm if memory serves) at the...
2020 FX4 Max
I did the standard 3/2 Lift
Found some brand new OEM Raptor Takeoffs (wheels and tires) BFG 31570R17
No rubbing...a little bit of poke but not much...(which may be why they don’t rub!)
And just installed my Raptor style grille on the front!
Oh and swapped out all of headlight, fog...
I absolutely LOVE the way the Raptor Takeoffs look on mine! The only downside thus far (~5,000 miles) is the handling. At highway speeds, its a little spongy/sloppy. Not dangerously bad or anything, but noticeable compared to the setup it came with on 18’s. I’m wondering if there is a...
I have the ReadyLift with OEM Raptor takeoffs (31570R17 BFG Load Range C) on my 2020 FX4. They are beadlock ready but I’m not running them with the beadlocks engaged. Had to tuck the front wheel well material up a little bit, but very easy. No rubbing whatsoever!
$1500 is considerably less than we spent on our Explorer base plate install. The $1500 braking system sounds high though. In any case, if you get everything for $3k, you are doing much better than I did!
On the 2020’s, it has to have the neutral transfer case...which is only available with...
So, we just got into flat towing about 2 years ago and really enjoy it. We towed a 2019 Explorer behind our Super C Powerstroke for that whole time and amazingly, it made virtually no difference to the fuel mileage. (Ie it sucks with or without dragging something behind it!). We had Holiday...
Man, I gotta stay on top of this forum better! Looks like I missed a good opportunity. Oh well, hope it works out for whoever got the center speaker. Dumb observation but - I’m honestly not even sure that I have a spot for a center speaker...My ‘19 Platinum F-250 had the B&O center speaker...
I’m right there with you 8131Full - I want/need to upgrade the sound system in my 2020 XLT FX4...its really subpar and strangely, wasnt even an option to upgrade. If its “prewired” for B&O, I’d be more than happy to self upgrade. But I havent found anybody confirming that concept yet. Fingers...
