2007 expy EB a aluminu looking strand is coming out of a wire spliced in around several wires in my pcm/ecm harness. It's very odd looking and I don't want to take it off of it's needed so I'm stuck now for about 3 weeks trying to find out and I can't seem to get any help or response so...
My wiring harness from Ecm running back to rear of engine has what looks like a wire that was spiced and has 2 bare silver stands that are interwoven around 2 or 3 other wires that are twisted in a braid it seems, some other wires look like that have a almost tin silver tape of some kind...

Okay so I had to replace pigtails for coil and fuel injector on the passenger side cylinder 1 the thru 4.
#4 was a BEAR to say the least someone butchered the # 4 was cut, twisted together and hid in the harness, so I didn't have much to work with.
Iy used the butt splice with the solder ring...
