    its fine to consider silly the notion of having buttons should the screen fail, as you said, to each their own. Tactile feedback while driving, knowing where your knobs are and reaching down for them without taking your eyes off the road to tap a screen beats a big/touch screen.

    Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. The ease of dedicated buttons and not having to rely on the primary screen for things like HVAC is the primary reason I opted out of the giant screen. i'd rather spread my risks...
