    Power Running Board Settings

Sorry for the delay on this. My truck ended up in the shop for a while with a cracked transmission pan at 2k miles. Joy. Below are the values I was able to pull from both of the vehicles. The first values shown are the Expedition ('22 Limited Max 303A) and the second are the F-150 ('23...

    Power Running Board Settings

If you could give me some specific lines to compare, I could try to get them for you sometime. I have my modules already backed up on the F-150 (added tow mirrors) but haven’t used ForScan on the Expedition yet and don’t keep my laptop here with me.

They ever get you taken care of?

    Power Running Board Settings

They’re not fixed. I honestly think it’s a programming issue and not a module issue (but who knows). I posted one of the original threads on here about it, but once I saw Ford’s response to others I didn’t want to mess with them insulting my intelligence. Now that I have a ‘23 F-150 to compare...

    Power Running Board Settings

I still think this is some BS Ford made up to avoid having to fix a bunch of vehicles with bad programming. I have a ‘22 Expedition and a ‘23 F-150. Both have power running boards and the exact same settings on the screen. The F-150 extended timer works exactly as I expect. The boards stay out...

    Passanger Door rattling/squeaking Noice

Our 2022 does the same on most doors. With the doors closed, I can push down on the exterior handle and can hear the creak. I’m fairly certain it’s the latch/striker that are creaking and all bolts are tight. Just haven’t taken a chance to lube all the latches/strikers yet but I’m hoping that...

    Rain Sensing Wipers

The wipers on our ‘22 are very sporadic as well. Sometimes work fine, other times have to turn them on manually because I can’t see. Other times when I start it they will wipe once when it’s totally dry outside. Not impressed.

    Ford powerup 3.5.3 eta?

Wonder if it will fix the running board settings.

Thankfully, there’s a setting for that. Unfortunately, it does not work…at all.

    Running Boards

Anyone heard of any plans for Ford to issue an update to fix the running board issues? Saw someone alluding to this but haven’t seen any updates come through and my dealer is zero help. Don’t want to leave it there for a week for them to tell me that’s how it’s supposed to operate.

    Rear Sway bar?

Do the sway bars also help the up and down bouncing/floating or is it mostly just the side to side sway? If that makes any sense.

    Transmission Question for ‘21 & ‘22 owners.

Parents have a ‘20 and we have a ‘22. The transmission in ours is much smoother, quieter and seems calibrated much better. Smoothest transmission I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned quite a few Ford vehicles. We have around 8k miles atm.

    2022 Expedition - Schedule for production ?

I had a similar issue. I had a $3,500 PCO at the time of order (12/21) and Granger wouldn’t confirm or deny that it was valid until the vehicle delivered. Fast forward to when it showed up in 04/22, I had to push pretty hard to get it included. The issue with mine was that the PCO was addressed...

    New '22 Expedition Limited Stealth

It’s still floaty at times but I believe it’s better than the prior gen. I would definitely order the CCD again as the ride is very good otherwise.

New 2022 SPP Expy cabin is LOUD

That was true in the past. But for 2022, Limited and up have ANC. A few have enhanced ANC, but I’m guessing that’s just augmented sound.

LED vs Non-LED OEM tail lights

It’s likely one of two things. Either they’re calibrated to sense a smaller draw, or the LED vehicles have bulb out detection disabled like you would do in Forescan. Only way to tell would be to compare the as-built module data from two similar vehicles. I’ve never had an LED tail fail to know...

LED vs Non-LED OEM tail lights

The bulb is the biggest difference (LED vs incandescent). The incandescent has more draw than an LED. So when you swap to LED, the vehicle thinks the bulb is burnt out or not functioning and hyperflashes. That’s what the resistor is for. If you don’t want to put in a resistor that could...

New 2022 SPP - First service

I don’t have any vibration problems, but I also have that same sound from the driver side wheel well. The first sharp bump is usually the worst and then it quiets down until the next time we drive it. There is a seam on our street that does it every time we leave the house.

    2022 Max payload numbers

Just realized I had a typo on mine. It’s actually 1,750, not 1,650.

    Running Boards

Of course. But you have to move very quickly which doesn’t happen with kids. Especially when I have to keep them both with me so one is not on the other side getting fingers or toes caught in the steps. It’s just such a stupid design.

    Running Boards

Both sides come down anytime a door is opened. Then they go back up within a few seconds. So by the time I get around the car to open another door they are starting to go back up. I usually wait for them to go all the way up so I’m not constantly stopping them mid-cycle. They open and close...

    Running Boards

My biggest gripe so far by far. It’s honestly almost a safety issue. We have to repeatedly tell our little ones to stay away on the other side of the car because by the time you get around the car to get them in they are closing again. If they’d fix the damn extended timer it wouldn’t be such a...

2022 Expedition new headlights quality question

I still need to check my aim. High beams are excellent (and really like the fade on/off feature). But I’ve been very underwhelmed by the throw of the low beams compared to the Explorer Sport we traded in. On rural highways I almost feel like I need to slow down under the speed limit to feel...

What does “Auto” in the Climate Contro do - 2022 Expy?

Depends on what you mean by automatic. In manual mode, the temp of the air from the vents and speed of the fans is fixed based on what you set them to be. In auto mode, the system automatically changes the temp of the air from the vents and fan speeds to reach a desired cabin temp...

What does “Auto” in the Climate Contro do - 2022 Expy?

Auto maintains a set temp inside. The three different settings are the max fan speed. So if you want it quieter when you first get in your vehicle, set it to 1. If you want it to cool/heat as fast as possible regardless of how loud, set it to 3. I leave ours on 2 unless it’s really hot outside...
