    Winch Bumper for my '09 XLT

    Youtube has several videos. Basically, It's rotating the clutch control handle to the position you want it in (usually up). The new 12K Badland winch doesn't allow the clutch control assembly to be rotated.

    Negative replies. I hope everyone is having a good time. I went with a maXpeedingrods kit (3.5" Front, 2.5" rear) product since no advice was forthcoming from the group. Did everyone just suddenly die?

    The OM should tell you what relay, and if more than one fuse is involved. Worst comes to worst find the Haynes Manual.

    Large Screen for 2016

    I took my 09 XLT (No display at all) to Car Toys and had a nice in dash Kenwood unit with a rear camera, Bluetooth, and two USB inputs for the android phones, and Polk Speakers in all four doors. I'm too old to be messing around with it. I let the pros do it for me.

    The best way to catch this kind of 'crook' is to have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic you trust before going into said suspect shop. Then again, if you have a mechanic you trust.....

    Added one new circuit...now it won't start...please HELP

    If you disconnect your new circuit, does it start? There may be a short on the wire you can't see. Any fusible links that might have taken a hit?

    That looks great! My 09 has a transplant console, and the shifter is on the collum. My mechanic put the power shut off for my winch in the hole.

    I'm trying to make sense of the lift options I have been able to find. Everything shows different lift heights front to rear. why? I can't find an explanation for the difference.

    More winch woes. The Clutch on the Apex 12K isn't clockable, so it went back, and a stronger, less expensive unit who's clutch is clockable is on it's way.

    Letter to My Dealer

    My Gen 3 09 is a former police vehicle. It has a normal shifter on the steering column because of that. The Motor & Transmission had been replaced, and though the XLT was bare Bones on the inside, I'm not suffering the problems some of you are.

    Interesting. The 09 Expy is 78.8" Wide. The F 150 is 78.9". So in theory, the F 150 model should fit.

    My mechanic mounted the bumper, and left the winch sitting in the box in the back of the truck. Still waiting. But I did get pictures.. The License is covering the winch line port.
