1999 xlt 5.4L 4WD conversion to 2WD?
Maybe purchase the 4x4 selector switch out of a 97-98 Expeditions. Those can be switched to 2WD. Also works on later ones. Or remove the fuse. That’s what I did on my ol 99 when the chain transfer case chain started slipping during acceleration. Also MPG should be much higher. Driving my 98...- RonPut

No really since I don’t know how to test it. All I can say is, once you get started it shifts flawless. No problems when cruising nor when flooring it. The Torque Converter probably still is the factory one. I didn’t replace it and the previous owner as well. Read some stuff online about what the symptoms of a bad TC are and was thinking it’s to different from what I experience.- RonPut
