I used CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner. It has worked well for me in the past but apparently a dirty MAF Sensor wasn't the problem. The sensor had a loose connection or something so when I took it out to clean it and then put it back together it operated fine for a day and then went out completely.
Well, it turned out to be the MAF sensor. Unfortunately I found out by having it towed to my preferred mechanic when it completely died while I was out running errands. It had run perfectly the day before and started okay Friday morning but got progressively worse until it just wouldn't stay...
I suppose I could offer to show mine but that isn't likely to get me the help I need. I appreciate the advice you've offered. I cleaned the MAF the night before
last and while it didn't make a difference immediately it ran perfectly on my commute yesterday and the fuel trims were closer to what...
If my timing was going out would that potentially cause the issue?
I recorded my fuel trim values on my drive in to work this morning and while there weren't any noticeable periods of poor performance the short term fuel trim values again ranged from those -30% to +55% and didn't throw a code...
Thanks. I'll take a look at the MAF and clean it appropriately and check my upstream O2 sensor connections, but do you know where the MAP sensor is on that 5.4? I've never dug into one of those.
Hi all,
I've had my 2014(just under 94,000) for a little more than a year and it has been a pretty solid runner for me. Just the other day I came home from a short trip and it idled very rough (200rpm or so) when I pulled it into the driveway. It sounded a lot like my 2005 right before I put in...
Throttle body and idler control valve could certainly be the case so check those. I had a similar problem on my 05, but it almost always occurred after I had been pulling my camper and would shift to reverse to back it into a spot. As soon as I shifted into reverse it would idle rough and then...
Hi All,
New to the forum and looking for advice. I searched through the old threads and wasn't able to come up with an answer. I've just purchased a 2014 Expy to replace my 2005 as a tow vehicle for my boat and camper. I had some aftermarket clamp-on crossbars for my 2005 that I thought I would...
