    F150 to expedition transmission swap

    The 2 part numbers are different Expedition is: JL1Z-7000-F F150 is: JL3Z-7000-F I can’t seem to find what the actual difference is between the 2. The f150 transmission already has the expedition valve body on it, expedition bell housing and Torque Converter. If that helps any.

    I think your right. I don’t see any place on the tranny where there’s a linkage where a cable would go to. It must be all electronic.

    No warranty I had the option to buy one from the dealership I got it from but i passed up. Said I have 30 days if I change my mind, didn’t think I needed it. I’m not at 50 days from day of purchase. Just my luck.

    Already did, drove it around town, same weird shifting as before but no overheat (only drove it on back roads no highway.) I don’t want to get it back and have it overheat again

    Would a bad cdf drum cause it to over heat? Ford transmission are on back order till mid-end of April unfortunately. The used one I have has had the CDF drum already changed by the dealer at around 10k miles. Any idea on cost to change out the CDF drum? No warranty here. All out of pocket
