Welcome to the forum Carpy!
Might want to try in the 3rd gen group as yours is a MY17, those guys would know the specifics for your generation.

In regards to the AWD functionality topic, some of the responses thus far have been a little off.
AWD/4A is simply a feature or mode that a vehicle has to set it and forget it that all the wheels will drive to some varying degree. Every car manufacturer approaches this in their own way - even...
Not sure what you're getting at...
Just based on the pictures, a replacement bumper is probably around $1500 to replace depending on what can be swapped over. Plus the prep and paint added to that.
He's lost one of the radiator shutters which indicates a decent enough impact that the...
Bluetooth connection will play every last alert your phone does. It will take adjusting settings on the phone to minimize alerts.
CarPlay/Android Auto will minimize this.
We chatted on FB (911 topic). Glad to see you here as well and see we're in the same state!
Get ahead of the questions and list/describe as many of your mods as you can!
I had done a little poking around on the F150 boards a while back to get a deeper insight to the Ford BMS system. First of all, the consensus with them with battery swaps of an increased capacity is to use FORScan to find and pick the closest battery size that matches. There's only a finite...
I used to live most of my life not far from where you say you're from (northern HarCo/Lancaster). I originally grew up in the NW corner of NJ (NJ, PA, NY), which saw a decent amount of snow in the mountains. Also spent time in northern WV during my college years, as well as driving the PA...
I have seen heavy rain - in Florida no less - shut down driving aids. Not common, but possible. I've seen it more with the ACC module.
The BSM modules are behind the rear bumper skin. I would see if you can look up there and check to see that it's clear of debris. Follow that up with the...
Sounds like the Motorcrafts have served you well. Not sure I've heard of others going that far, at least not with the rear pads.
That said, have used Power Stops numerous times in the past with great results on previous rides.
None of the 4th's have the transmission fluid running up to the front radiator, even if equipped with HD tow package. Coolant is plumbed back to the transmission where it is ran through a heat exchanger (HX). There is an electronic valve near the battery box that also controls the flow of...
I mounted the Mishimoto transmission cooler - but never finished the tie-in - on my previous truck before it got totaled. Everything went on just fine.
I've lifted quite a few of my own trucks so far. If I don't align it myself and have to take it to a shop, I have gotten in the habit of adjusting the cams so the caster is as far forward as possible, and tell the shop to go from there.
Another big oversight is not doing UCA's. I've learned...
Got the new switch in the mail today - SL1B14B596CBW.
Hit and a miss…
Switch plugged in and worked great tying in all possible features you could have in an Expedition and confirmed working. BUT, it is a couple of mm too small compared to the old switch dimensions and fell right though the...
Sooooo...
Just noticed this on the 2025 SSV. Haven't really looked much at the 5th gen models, but this caught my eye. All modes that I require that the other switches don't have (mainly the rear locker feature).
Found what looks like to be PN SL1B14B596CBW. Ordered one and going to try.
