    Icon F150 Tremor for Timberline

You need to start a build thread of what you got going on! More so, everyone's going to be asking (including myself) what you had to do to make that Ironman front bumper work besides just trimming that front bumper panel.

    Rear Defrost Tab and ESP

If you have a steady hand at soldering, I would try it yourself. Really isn't a reason everyone getting the glass replaced unless the conductors have somehow suffered excessive damage.

    2018 Max Platinum 4x4 - Maintenance Reccomendations

You do not gap them, they are pregapped. There's even a warning not to. Most of these newer non-copper plugs are like this these days. You can double check them to ensure that they are close to spec or all even, but due to some of these newer exotic materials used, the spark characteristics...

    Radar Detector Mirror Wiring

I tried one of those dashcam adapters for my Escort since it's really nice and clean looking, but my RD runs on 12v instead of the USB 5v and didn't work. Went back to the original mirror taps. Just something to keep in mine with those harnesses.

    70mph + vibration

Another discreet culprit could be the front pinion bearing. I just replaced my front pinion seal due to it leaking with the help of an experienced mech friend of mine. We pulled out the oil slinger and pinion bearing while at it to inspect and all looked good. When we put the nut back on and...

    2018 Max Platinum 4x4 - Maintenance Reccomendations

Just installed these, went without a hitch. They're working great as far as I can tell. I feel like highway mpg has increased, but don't have enough data to back that up. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=9779924&cc=3440431&pt=7212&jsn=941

    Ford Expedition Shop/Service Manual

Thanks for the sticky! I've been wondering how to get my hands on a FSM. A few time already I've could've used this.

2019 Expy XLT halogen to led swap.

I have the Morimoto 3.0's. I upgraded just before the 4's came out, but they're pretty much the same other than the improved chip mounting area. I had the low beams as DRL's for a short while and had no issues. I'm not sure if I even noticed a flicker. I have since reprogrammed via FORScan...

SPC upper Control Arms - anyone?

I'll chime in on previous experience that I had with SPC UCA's that I had on a 4Runner. They do work well in being very versatile in dialing in A LOT of adjustment. That being said, it's like the old saying too much of a good thing can be bad. I found that quite a few shops that I would take...

    Aftermarket Rear Diff Cover

It would be nice if there were one for the front. Changing the fluid requires siphoning as there's no room between the cover and steering rack to service. You can almost see in the diff casting south of the fill plug that there may have been plans to put one in.

    4th Gen Amplifier Install Locations

Thanks for that link. I think I have heard similarly that the 4G has a similar space available behind the quarter panel. Might be more in there for me since I don't have a factory sub. I do have space behind the dash as well. I did an install to amplify my center channel with a Soundstream...

    4th Gen Amplifier Install Locations

In the planning stages of upgrading my stock basic Sync setup. Just looking for install ideas of where some have already installed amps. I'm sure the common areas are under the front seats. Looking for any additional areas of creativity (behind trunk paneling, etc.).

    Tail signal lights

Glad to hear that has worked out for you. I'd be interested in seeing pictures of how and what you have done to get this working. I was also looking at this recently and thinking another way to get individual signals would be to tap into the 7-pin trailer harness. For the turn signals, sounds...

How To: Install Ford Permiter Plus Vehicle Security System

I just completed installing the Ford VSS+ module to my Expedition. My truck is rather base and plain for an XLT (200A), and thus it did not come with a remote start or security system. The remote start was my primary want and the security system was a secondary benefit. I was able to pick up...

2018 expedition headlight assembly ballast replacement

I've worked for a couple high end OEMs for over 20 years and seen technology changes. Sometimes components may be different enough for the technology (HID vs. LED), but not in physical shape and basic function (as in this case), so instead of completely renaming, the device name stays the same...

Thanks for the post on this. Ordered directly from Ford parts and swapped out mine last night in 5 minutes as a preventative maintenance measure.

2018 expedition headlight assembly ballast replacement

Not entirely true... LEDs still use a driver similar to that of a ballast driver that HID headlamps use. Symptoms of a failing module is also similar to that of HID (flickering, noise, etc.) See diagram for item 13C170 (FL3Z13C170B) in this case.

    Tail signal lights

Yes, I know what he's asking. ECE lights have much different rule than USA spec. Namely, each function has to be its own separate piece. Turn signal is separate from brake (i.e. brake light cannot share running light function like ours do). It's supposed to be so that there is no ambiguity...

    Gorilla Nuts

Unless you're really going for the spline, these are what I got a few months back to replace my swollen nuts. I originally bought a set from somewhere that had a smaller surface area like the ones pictured above and after doing a test install it was a definitely no-go with the lack of surface...

trans cooler - replace oem - anyone done this?

A transmission can be run without running through a heat exchanger. The purpose of a HX is to get the trans up to an operating temperature quicker than if it were to do it itself. The quicker the trans is up to temp, the quicker it'll get to running full lock-up (better efficiency, MPG...

My experience with a 2018 expedition

HD tow package still doesn't have any external radiator for the transmission. The coolant radiator is supposed to be thicker for more area/volume, but that's it aside from gearing and and xfer case (if 4x4). Downside to the heat exchanger (HX) is that the transmission fluid will never be...

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

Just did my first oil change the other week and added the Fumoto valve while at (do it to everything I own). If you're a DIY guy doing this on the ground, this is almost a must at the rate the oil come gushing out plus the location almost on top of the swaybar. I also lucked out and had the...

    LED Tailight out

If the amber turn signal is out, you can replace the bulb. If any of the other parking/brake lamps have failed, you need a whole new housing. Unfortunately LED's are not serviceable.

Center Channel Speaker Level Amplifier Install

So I'm a little slow with the follow-up, but I have been able to fix this issue over the weekend. As basic as I assumed this stereo to be (mine has no DSP), it does have what is called open circuit protection. When I was hooked up to the speaker level inputs on the amp, there was no resistance...
