So there are two master cylinder brake recalls. There's a recent one (2025) and there is a previous one (2023/2024). I had mine replaced at the dealer, per the recall, in March 2024. They replaced the MC and the booster.
in Sept 2025 (18 months and only 12,573 miles later) it failed, ruining a...
I had my brake master cylinder and power booster replaced under the Ford Recall in March 2024. The replacement was performed at the dealer.
Fast Forward to September 2025 and the master cylinder and brake booster failed, ruining a vacation and necessitating a $2000 repair at a brake place (the...
It's the only response that matters.
You have to find an attorney experienced in class actions willing to take the case in hopes of a payout
Anything else is just words.
99% of people plug in their trailer then assume everything works automagically.
For light trailers it doesn’t matter. If you want trailer gain you actually have to set it up for that specific trailer.
I’m betting your neighbor never did that.
The replacement worked. If your expedition isn’t feeling as powerful as you think it should this may be the culprit. You could not be building boost and still not throw a code everytime.
I am now pushed back in the seat when flooring it.
and for reference I'm at 160k miles, original shocks and springs all around - so I do want to replace rears but not going to spend ICON money for new rears.
I scored a set of the Icon shocks, etc for my 2017 Expedition - used, exc condition. It offers a .75 to 2.25 lift in the front.
Now curious what I should do in the rear? Bilstein 5100s? Should I add a spacer?
When was it done? Mine had the recall done 2 years ago when it went in for the blower recall, but this is apparently a newer, second, recall, for the same issue.
Did this ever get completed?
I'd love to ditch the wasteful center console on my Limited and get a column shift - makes it far easier for my wife to get into the back with the kids.
I forgot to trim the rear axle. There’s some front rubbing but that should be taken care of with zip ties since it’s just on the liner.
Looks 1000% better than with the 20s.
So the initial question was about lift - then there are two pages of discussion about bash plates.
I've posted new threads, replied to existing threads and can get no answer (especially since the threads I've researched are older).
Can anyone see my new thread in the 3rd Gen section about lift...
Can I ask why you used F150 Bilsteins up front and Expedition in the rear and not the same for both?
I'm looking to run 33-35s (not sure what wheel size yet since I'm going to buy Raptor takoffs when I see a good deal).
Can this be done with Bilsteins without spacers? I'm still confused why...
DId you ever get a response or lift your truck? I need new rubber and want to go bigger and make it more amenable to camping and fire roads but with so many threads (and thread drift) I can't seem to find a correct answer.
That's why I am asking here. There's tons of discussions about suspension, etc, but it's very confusing since there isn't any dedicated Sticky about what works to lift a 3rd Gen.
There's threads where Bilsteins work, threads where they don't. Threads where the spring perch has to be reused...
