We didn't end up getting a new car. Unfortunately as mentioned I'm chronically ill from Long COVID (infection was Nov 2023 with me slowly getting worse). My previous life of traveling and taking photos is gone at this point. So my parents didn't really get a new car because we're not really...
It was the right side outside. Now it has been a very long time since the buyback (and I've got the memory of a dementia patient due to Long COVID). However it was because the mirror would occasionally not unfold itself from the folded position. Due to the occasional nature of the issue, it did...
I've never used it, but I think the system goes through AT&T, so it should work where your AT&T phone works. I think the data cap is like 50GB before it throttles a month.
I still don't get why they ditched the wireless charging pad. Those things work pretty well as long as you plug a little USB fan in nearby to keep the phone cool.
My father actually bought a used Tesla for commute to work since Google provides EVs free charging, as a temporary solution, despite my mom and I trying to talk him out of it.
One thing that I thought about after shopping around for vehicles is why BlueCruise (and other similar hands-free driving functionality) added undivided highways like GM SuperCruise?
When we had our 2024, before it was lemoned, I found the engine never shut off when I'm pulling load on the AC socket. I occasionally had an AC powered wireless charging pad hooked up charging a phone.
@young dude co We test drove the 2025 Tremor, which is different than our 2024 Platinum MAX, it's no comparison to GMC Yukon air suspension. It is still somewhat rough. However the dealership we rode at had absolutely no speed bumps nearby or rough roads to test it on.
We had a 2024 Platinum MAX (recently lemoned, we're looking at 2025 rn) and it was a pretty rough ride even up front. Before that we drove a 2006 Honda Pilot.
I wish Ford would just have made a Tremor MAX, or at least offered it as a package on another trim. Have to say though living in the SF Bay Area, parking the MAX version and navigating parking garages has been somewhat of a pain occasionally this past year. (We came from a 2006 Honda Pilot.)
@dlcorbett Father and I test drove a Tremor, it is definitely better in terms of ride smoothness. We probably would have just got a decked out Platinum with the Platinum Ultimate package, but those 24" wheels got us super hesitant due to how rough our 2024 Platinum MAX was. However you're right...
Our 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum MAX was lemoned and surrendered. Our family (my parents and I, and possibly sometimes my grandma when she visits from China) will be using the vehicle. Right now we're kind of stuck between a 2025 Tremor (which unfortunately doesn't have a MAX version) or custom...
My father nearly went out packing heat, but my mom decided to check our security cameras first. We didn't see anyone so we went out with a flashlight instead.
This might be a bit of a funny story. For some reason our Ford had it's alarm randomly going off 2 nights in a row. My father was cursing at the quality of American made cars (FYI this vehicle of ours have been approved for lemon buyback for a different reason, just not surrendered yet). I went...
Our family checked out the new vehicles since our 2024 is a lemon. We like the tailgate. Nice place to sit and also set food on while eating out without the hassle of needing to set up an extra table or taking out folding chairs. However we aren't a huge fan of the colours in the back.
I have...
The dealership we went to (Livermore, CA) says it's probably an add-on accessory they install at the time of purchase. Their King Ranch also didn't have that in the back. I questioned them because I saw the YouTubers demoing it.
@BigOleFordFan It's a compromise between getting to go out and have fun, while also getting work done. I'm generally doing some level of stock trading until 1PM PST on week days. I generally carry laptop with me when I'm out. So does my dad.
Yes we do. It's my parents and I so. Depending on who isn't driving, we might be doing things on our laptops, sometimes it's work, sometimes it's checking the map on a bigger screen. (My father and I)
However you're right at 400W I think it should power both laptops just fine as long as one of...
