Check battery voltage. If it's under 12.6v, put it on a trickle charger overnight and try again. Funky behavior in those systems is frequently a sign of battery problems. Seems like mine was doing oddball stuff when it was down around 12.45v before I changed the battery last time.
$150 + $56 installation (for them programming it via FDRS) + 8.25% tax is about $220. You can see some snap tabs under the edges of it in one of the pictures I saw. I wonder if you can replace the battery as long as you can get it apart without destroying it.
I haven't decided what I'm gonna do with that. I've toyed with 3D printing some sort of landing lever that pops the blade arm away from the glass when it returns to home so it doesn't serve as a shelf for dust and dirt. It could be quite a bit longer, too, methinks. Looking at the thing, it's...
Here's a pic of mine. Because it's still filthy from the drive out to the country, you can see the clean spots where the 22" wiped and how much past that the 24" extend. I haven't turned on the wipers with the 24" yet. Plenty of room. You could probably get away with 26" blades if you really...

Possible? There's a video in that post with the noise so you can compare to what you're hearing.
The real question is whether the new valve body has better pistons and separator plate, or will the problem come back in the future. Kinda surprised this is still happening on 2024 models. I thought they said they "fixed" all that after mid-2023ish.
If it's annoying on low fan levels, there's probably something wrong with it. Mine is pretty much silent on low. I run mine on auto and it's a little noisy while it's cooling things down initially but once it kicks down, it's no louder than any other vehicle I've driven. I can hear the front...
Know anyone with a dyno? If you can reproduce it there where you can inspect it from outside, that'd likely be the quickest way to isolate it. Failing that, have someone else drive while you move around and see if you can determine where the noise is generally coming from (front/engine, rear, a...
Sidewall angle changes, most likely. Tire tread wear patterns are designed with a specific wheel width in mind. Change that and you change the angle and ground pressure on the outer (and to an extent the inner) edge tread blocks, and how that impacts the outside belts at different tire...
I have two different tire gauges here (one analog similar to the one in your picture, another one of the palm-size digital Rhino gauges) and as long as I drive it a few miles and let the TPMS settle, they all three agree within 1psi. I'd suspect your gauge.
Seems like I recall some video I saw on youtube a while back when I had the same code, and the result was that adding one of those sensor "extenders" can create other problems. I'd do some research before trying that.
Regarding your first concern, what do you mean by "float?"
As for the 10R80, mine had two rebuilds and eventually a full replacement in the first 6k miles of ownership (between 52k and 58k).
* first rebuild was for CDF drum/clutches
* second rebuild was for valve body (as I understand it...
Under the original factory warranty periods, the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act should apply. Even if a mod is for a specific part, they still have to prove the mod was the cause of the problem to deny coverage.
Now, if it's out of the original warranty and "covered" by an "Extended Service Plan"...
I wonder, did yours ever get this update? https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/customer-satisfaction-program-24b47-certain-2019-2020-expedition-navigator-other-models-model-years-update-sync-software.56447/
I'm sure you've already seen other threads talking about it, but lifts and big tires (if they're load range E, anyway) can make the ride notably worse. By far the easiest route is just to swap the 22's for 18's and a non-LT/non-load range E tire. My family's 2022 had the 22" bling wheels and it...
The power running boards commonly found on these vehicles typically stick down quite a bit lower and farther out away from the truck. It helps a lot in parking lots when kids that can't drive park too close to you so you can't open the door very far. Also helps if you have bad knees/back or...
I dunno. Dad's Expedition had almost the same (perhaps of slightly less magnitude) issues with some new Cooper tires they just put on a few weeks back, which turned out to be about 0.5-1oz imbalance and one tire with a belt defect only detectable on the road-force testing machine.
[edit] I...
My 2 cents re: ride that I've learned from (sometimes expensive) experience over the last 10 years or so:
** CONTEXT: I have lumbar disc injuries so softer ride is critical for me. I'm well past my stanced R34 pongo-stik suspension days.
-- Downsizing from 22" rubber-bands to tires with an...
The main reason the cam phaser thing is quiet is most were/are fixed under warranty AND (the big one IMO) is that once that job is done right, you never have to do it again. Unlike the 10R80 issues which apparently are all little band-aids because they do not want to spend the money to fix the...
My 2015 F-150 and 2020 Expedition both have had range issues, with or without LED lights nearby. The expedition for some reason will always refuse to open on the first press unless it's inside the garage. Second press works most of the time, though. Never had these range issues (same...
