I'm having the same problem, how did you reset it previously? It seemed to fix itself (maybe I reset it without knowing and/or it pushed an update that reset it) but now it's back.
Tested Apple Maps and I’ll be damned, it does work pretty well, I really like the two different map views. But it also makes it even more confusing that google maps doesn’t work the same way seeing as it’s the built in maps app?!? The top map goes black with a short “map source not supported”...
I've noticed the top screen map goes black when I have my iphone connected and am using Google Maps (not sure if it's an issue with Apple Maps) through CarPlay for directions. Kind of annoying, but I've gotten used to using the built-in Google maps on the home screen for directions to keep them...
