Hello everyone! Brand new member, first post...

Sometimes the external temperature readout on my dash is way off. For example, the other day it was about 85 deg outside and the display said 47 deg. After driving about 15 minutes, it slowly increased to about 60 deg. The problem seems to be totally random. At other times it is spot-on. I haven't noticed any correlation to hot or cold weather; it happens all year round. If anyone else has had this problem and found a solution, please respond. Or if you can point me in the right direction to troubleshoot, that would be helpful. Thanks.

I have a new sensor unopened in the bag (I bought it then got rid of my 2015 Expedition). It is a simple plug-and-play part. It is fastened to the radiator core in front of the a/c condenser - and can be seen through the grille.

If you send me a private message with your name and address, I will mail it to you at no charge. I will not be checking my messages until tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the package:

Thanks for the info Yupster Dog, and for the kind offer 99WhiteC5Coupe!

Question for 99WhiteC5Coupe: how/where do I send you a private message?

Click on my screen name (in blue on left side of message post), then click on “start conversation” - and send me a message. That will only send me the message and it will not be visible to any one else on the forum (or anyone reading the forum).
