Hi. My 1999 EB has shifter issues. I am having issues getting my shifter to go into park. I have to take it from drive and basically slam it up into park for it to stay. If I just push it normally it slides into reverse. I recently had to adjust the indicator for it to line up properly. It didn't help with the going into park issue. Has anyone else had this issue?

If it isn't the shifter the bushings, sometimes to bolts on the back of the shift tube loosen and cause the shifter to become ' sloppy ' and not go nto the proper location. I believe it's a t15, or t20 and a pain to access by laying non the floor board, but accessible none the less.
Or, the shft cable keeper becomes loos at the transmission and requires the plastic shift cable connection fitting to be replace, not an expensive item, and is easy to relace.

Well...I changed the shifter tube bushings....a lot of work, and it wasn't the issue. I still have a hard time getting it to go into park. Next I'll look into the cable keeper at the tranny.

Another update...it was the 2 bolts at the end of the shifter tube accessible from the floorboard. 2 T30 little bolts, simple fix...lol after taking it apart in a thousand pieces.
