Hey all,

So my understanding from what I've read off Wikipedia.. that all 3 valve engines built after 10/9/07 do not have an issue with the 2 piece spark plugs.

Took a couple pics ... one from the info decal on inside of driver door and one off the head in the engine bay. Can anyone confirm that my engine is free and clear of the 2 piece broken spark plug issue since it appears to be assembled March 2008? or do these dates mean something else?

Don't have service records of previous owner ever changing plugs.. not from the dealership I purchased it from.. runs quite well but am wanting to do them fairly soon since if they have never been done they are over...

You are in the clear with any '08 build date. You will have the 1-piece plug (SP-509). I believe they changed the coil boot color from black to brown when they switched over to the SP-509 as well, so I believe you should have the brown boot.

They're all black on top, but the rubber piece should be brown on the 2-piece plug models I believe. The ones on my '11 are brown for sure. Disconnect one and check.
