Well, I found out why my 2003 EB 4.6 smells like gas. Looks like an evap line going from the tank to the charcoal canister. The smaller of the two lines, coming from a T connector going into the top of the tank passenger side rear. Plastic piece broke and someone before me tried to "fix" it with black electrical tape. Well, that didn't last. I couldn't get my eyes on the actual piece going into the tank since it was on top, but is that a replaceable part? What's my best bet to fix? Not real worried about the EVAP Leak code, we don't have emissions testing where I live, just tired of smelling like gas everywhere I go. Could I just block off the part of the T that's broke and send it? What's the ramifications of that? If that part is not unobtanium, I could drop the tank and fix it, just don't know what it's called or if it's still available. Thanks. Sorry the pictures aren't better.

Do you just mean the nylon line is broken and you want a new length to install ? You just use a heat gun to remove the old line off the fittings and heat up the new line end to slide it back on the old fitting. Other than that I'm not really sure what you're looking for from those pictures. Without dropping the tank you can't be sure about all the leaks or broken lines.

Unfortunately one of the plastic male fittings on the T connector at the tank broke. You can see it in the picture with the green background and the quarter. I need to find that T connector at the back of the tank and replace it if possible.

I can't find anything on the part itself and I don't recall it from when I had my tank out. I'd suggest taking it to the dealer or parts store and trying to match it up to something.

You might also be able to repair it with epoxy, like JBWeld. If you try that route scuff it with some sandpaper so the epoxy has something to grab onto. Not sure how well this would do long term, but it should work to get you back on the road.

But don’t you think it would happen again from whatever made it happen because I feel like maybe it had to much pressure in the tank from maybe charcoal canister being clogged but I’m get to check that out I’m looking arounf everywhere no one has this on this truck I’m guessing from it looks it’s to be a female/male/ and barb tee fitting but one Amazon it shows a diffrent looking clip I’m not sure if it would work doesn’t tell me by like part recommendation…

I'd be surprised if it broke due to tank pressure. I would think it got broken by being handled roughly or hit maybe.

I have no idea where to get a replacement for it aside from a salvage yard. If a salvage yard isn't an option I would be inclined to try a brass barbed coupler to join the 2 halves. Warm up the plastic, put a bit of silicone/RTV like Permatex The Right Stuff and push it in, repeat for the other side. Or possibly a threaded coupler. I really don't have any other ideas off hand.
