Naw that isn't going to be a problem. Once it is in and running just put a "post it note" over the CEL and you're good.
I've seen that one.....

Gosh I thought those were for me to remember to call back a customer that called about his Motorcycle when I was away from my desk! I have 3 books at home, I'll have to remember that when my oil light on the top left corner starts winking at me!

Just an update. I replaced the computer and abs module with the one from the 2003. All works perfectly. Thank you for your help with this.

What made you think about the Brake module causing a transmission problem? That and the main computer! Glad it's fixed. Surprised you weren't throwing a zillion codes. You got lucky on this one, could have gone on a lot longer.

I only changed the Abs module due to a Vin mismatch between the 2004 computer and the Abs module. Got both from the same expedition. The IC does not need to be changed.
