I need help. I have a 2004 Expy, 5.4L, 4x4, 270,000 miles.

Will crank but not start.

Things confirmed and done so far.

Yes I do have gas. First thing checked. The tank is nearly full.

Green with yellow stripe wire on fuse /relay panel confirmed the 12 volt is present as other posts have said to check. All fuses are good. Even unbolted the entire fues panel, disassembled, tested continuity of every relay (no issues found) Re assembled, then reinstalled in the expy.

Ensured the inertia switch was properly engaged in the back storage area.

Replaced fuel pump and fuel filter sever months back due to dead fuel pump at the time. But still I confirmed it does have 55 psi at the fuel injectors rail with fuel pressure tester. Also with ignition turned on I can hear fuel pump running.

Replaced all 8 fuel injectors. Due to age and them being original to vehicle and over 100,000 miles was hoping this could be the issue. Also due to not fully tightening the fuel rail bolts enough on one side, upon attempting first start after changing fuel injectors the pump blew the rail loose from the front injector once, and sprayed fuel. Which confirmed fuel pump is getting fuel to the top of the injectors.

Brand new battery . Old battery was weak and past life expectancy anyway.

Removed air intake housing. Sprayed starting fluid in air intake while manipulating control cable. Engine did start and run until fluid was used up. Confirms spark. Besides all 8 plugs and coil packs were replaced at around 128,000 miles a couple of years ago.

What am I missing? What else could be keeping my expy from getting fuel and starting?

Please advise!

So you have fuel pressure in the fuel rail, but it's still not starting. Did you inspect the PCM relay there in the fusebox ? ( top right relay in fusebox...) . You can swap those top row relays around, they're all the same part numbers. If you have a noid test light you can test for injector signal on the fuel injector harness plugs while cranking. If noid light doesn't flicker that would point you in a direction to look at the PCM or harness plugs.
