Hi Guys,

I have a 07 expy el eddie bower w/ stock sub.

I purchased this Pioneer AVH-1330NEX:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/metra-...mercury-vehicles-gray/9437549.p?skuId=9437549

And I've tried both the metra 70-5521 and IBR-WHFD5 harnesses:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/metra-...mercury-vehicles-gray/9437549.p?skuId=9437549

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/metra-...r-ford-vehicles-multi/4125027.p?skuId=4125027

I'm not getting power to the radio when installed. I verified the radio it's self turns on, and I've tried 2 separate harnesses. I'm getting power to the constant/memory wires, but no power on the ignition/switch wire. It looks like the pinouts on the metra harness side don't match up with the factory harness. However, I don't know of other options? I don't care about steering wheel controls for now, I was just wanting to do a quick swap that has now turned into an all day affair. Searching on here and across google hasn't yielded anything useful, and I've yet to see anyone else complaining about the same thing. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm sorry I'm not much help, but you have to look at the Ford wiring and connector diagrams and see what's going into the harness and where it's coming out. Or take to it with a test light and see which pin is hot with the key on.

Hopefully, this very detailed F-150 thread will help you:

This may also help. Scroll down to the section about our year radios:

Also look on YouTube for some videos covering F-150 radio swaps on similar years.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a good pinout from the vehicle side, so I can’t even just splice into the factory harness. I’ve searched for those as well and have also come up empty.

I bought my change out from Crutchfield and they made up the wiring harness for the unit, sub, and steering wheel controls. Worked perfectly.
If you can you might return the Bestbuy stuff and talk to them.

Crutchfield should always be your go to for anything car audio/video if they have what you are looking for.
Their first prices can be a touch more expensive but the service and after help is 2nd to none.

I agree with the others. I had a problem with a home Yamaha receiver I purchased elsewhere. The girl in sales went out of her way to send me directions for that model. Customer service like theirs, is the best I've ever found in the electronics industry. Most places won't help at all. They want $100.00 on up to diagnose. Deal with Crutchfield.

Don't you have a multimeter? You can get a cheap one and find the wire... Amazon sells decent ones for less than $10.
