I need to add a trailer brake module to my 2011 Navigator Base for towing a travel trailer.
I believe I have the factory heavy duty tow package as I have both 4 and 7 pin trailer light connectors already factory installed in the rear bumper cut out.
Does my Navigator have an existing multi-pin connector for the tow module under the dash? If so, where is it? What does it look like?
Is the factory brake module still available or NLA?
Are there aftermarket brake modules available? If so, which is the best one? Will they plug into the factory connector or need to be hard-wired in?
Does installing the brake module require a scan tool for OEM or aftermarket modules?
Forgive me if this has been covered by a previous thread, as I did a quick search here and couldn't find one.

I found this YouTube video for a 2008 Navigator trailer brake module installation.

It was useful, but the under hood fuse box is different from mine.
My question is, do I need to add fuses or relays in order to charge the camper's battery through the 7-pin connector while driving like the 2008 or does my 2011 already have these in place?

I was very impressed with the towing capability of my Navigator. It towed a 2003 24' Gulf Stream Streamlite camper with no problem, even with heavy crosswinds on the interstate. Temp needle didn't move all that much, if any, and it really didn't affect mileage that much. I did install a weight distributing hitch from Harbor Freight, which I'm sure helped.

Did you ever get a charge line installed? If so what did you do?
