i have 75K miles on my 2015 Expedition. It’s been reasonably well taken care of and driven conservatively. Should I be worried about the mileage and bail out of this car ASAP? Or can this year be 200k+ vehicle?

I haven’t heard too much yet regarding whether the first gen 3.5 ecoboost lasts much over 100K miles without needing significant repairs.

I wouldn’t worry, if you keep your oil changed 75k is not much for a modern vehicle and that is no exception for the Eco

As JE says....keep the oil clean, don't run the piss out of it and it will last. 18 Wheelers have turbos that are only infrequently ...at half to one million miles.....nope, I wouldn't worry. Backing this paradigm is the absence of high-mileage Ecoboost issues....we really would be the first to see it....or our brothers over on the 150 forum and it's a non-issue.

I have a tendency to get rid of problem vehicles at the first sign of trouble. I research the heck out of anything I purchase these days and do have to remind myself that a vehicle can last even if minor issues pop up. So as a automotive pessimist that doesn't trust Ford for quality, it's good to re-read that yes this vehicle can last a long time. I'm more of a Toyota fan as the majority of their vehicles do last a long problem free time. Expeditions on the used market are a bargain. So far this Expedition has been very good but it only has 53,000 miles on it. I'll know better in the next 100,000.

I am also impressed with the gas mileage. My'07 Sequoia was averaging just under 15 mpg. This EL has 3.73 gear ratio which is better for towing.

It looks different as you have the fancy limited model.
Us with the XLTs have the dash shown above. Not as many fancy features and options.
XLTs with the big Sync screen may share a dash with you but I am not sure.

While you're talking about a 2015 expy, mine has 60K miles and I just put a Pennzoil synthetic in it. How many mile before I change?

According to Ford when the vehicle tells you or every 12 months.
I use Motorcraft a synthetic blend and swap out every 5k.
Personal opinion it is a waste of money to run full synthetic in these under normal driving conditions and doing any less than 10k for oil swaps.
At 5k synthetic blend is no where near being bad.
But it is cheap and easy so like most maintenance I do it more frequently than needed.

Just an FYI, I had a 2013 F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost and I traded it in at 190,000 miles. Had a periodic misfire in cylinder 6 but otherwise was running strong.
