I have a 2017 Expedition King Ranch 6cyl. They told me a while back the water pump was going bad so I would add about a 1/4 gallon or less of coolant every few weeks. Didn't have the $1,300 for them to replace it. The other day I noticed collant just started running through the engine. It didn't overheat but got hot before I got it home. I changed the water pump myself, no easy feat, and the coolant is still running out the bottom. It is not leaking anywhere near the water pump and you cannot see the leak or fluid running out from the top looking under the hood. I wish I could attached a video.

When I crawl underneath I can see the coolant is coming from above the black clip looking thing. The coolant to the right of it is just from overflow caused by the coolant leaking out so fast.

What is above that black clip looking thing where the coolant could leak? Is ther a hose up there?

I just deciphered/discovered that the stamp on the engine in the 'AreaPic';

is for the oil pan, if that helps anyone.

If you do know where the leak is coming from, could you also offer a suggestion on how to get there and fix it?

Thanks for any insight you may have. I have about a week or so before I will need to concede and take it to the shop.

I’m impressed with your having changed out the water pump. Removing the mountain of tubes along with reconnecting the part that goes through the engine is impressive. My 2016 has a very sporadic leak at the driver’s side turbo. Slow enough that I can go a month or more without adding coolant. If you had more time then I’d suggest buying a black light to trace the flow.

Autozone and O’Rileys hae a free loan a tool program. I’m pretty sure they have a pressure kit. Unless you just want one of your own.

What others have said: pressurizing the system will help you find the leak. There is also a dye specific for adding with the coolant to help identify the leak with a light.
