Hey all, have had my 2017 RWD Limited with HD towing package for about 1 year now, about 70k miles but in really good shape.

First week I got it.

First upgrade I did, since it IS RWD was a limited slip diff. Powertraxx Grip Pro LSD was installed and kept the factory 3.31 gears for better fuel economy.

Local differential shop, Gearworx, did the swap.

I knew I wanted to do a a subtle lift so spent a fair amount of time and research on what direction to take. The current Goodyear Wranglers were really starting to show their age, previous owner kept with the 275/55/20 OEM size. The rear shocks were also leaking, even though they were new when I bought it.
So what better time for some upgrades!?

Here it sits with my other 2 cars, all slightly modified. So wanting to keep this comfortable and quiet since it's the main family hauler. Btw, I'm a real-estate agent with the Gearhead Homes team, we specialize in working with big garage homes for fellow car enthusiasts.

Time for upgrades!
3/2 Readylift
KYB Excel G shocks
SPC Camber nuts for alignment
1.5 aluminum, hub centric wheel spacers
275/65/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers (SL, non E rated version)

I'm really liking the subtle, OEM+ look. A lot of people couldn't tell you that this was modified at all. Not to say I won't go to an aftermarket wheel down the road but I really like the Limited wheels. It just looks like a tougher and has a bigger presence. These being essentially 34s, I did have to trim the plastic on the running boards, no biggie. It rides beautfully and KYB s have much better body control, no harshness, tires have a little bit of road noise with stereo off. Very reasonable. Love how it looks now.

Spc camber nuts? Haven't heard of that. Does that help with the alignment after the leveling kit? My 2014 with 2.5" gets wobbly at times. I'm taking it in for another alignment to see if we can get it riding better. I wonder if that's something I should look into?

It's worth it. Ford also sells a similar kit but will ding you $330 for the 4 bolts and alignment tabs. Go aftermarket.

Not that your factory bolts may be rusted in place so replacing the bolts may involve replacing the lower control arms.

The 4x2 had 3.31 prior to 2018.
I believe 2011 to 2014 4x2 and 4x4 came stndard with 3.31 open differential. I don't remember which year they introduced the 3.73 option but at first it did not come with LSD. 2015 - 2017 also came standard with 3.31 open differential, but if you ordered the optional 3.73 it automatically came with LSD.

Interesting side note, on 2010 - 2014 SSV (special service vehicle - police fire etc) they all came standard with 3.73 posi and there was no other option.

Edit
I just looked at the build options for 2021 Expy and see the 3.73 LSD only listed when you select the FX4 off road option and not at all as a separate option (I know that was not the case on 2020 models. I also see LSD on all FX4 window stickers I looed at, but when selecting the 4x4 XLT or Limited in the build system, it does not state the axle ratio and same window stickers for non-FX4

Not true.

I ordered a 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4 - which included the HD towing package.

A rear LSD, including the 3.73 ratio, was not available as standard or optional equipment on the 2015 models.
