2022 Expedition Timberline just delivered a few days ago. (ordered 10 months ago)
I have never put Mud Flaps on a vehicle before, but doing a lot of protection stuff with this SUV.
(Waiting on 'expensive' clear bra and professional liquid coating treatment now from a business down the street from Ford dealer - still haven't used the Expedition yet.)

It seems there are no REAR mud flaps that fit the new Expeditions.
Weathertech still sells their Expedition front flaps (short <too short?>, clean appearance guards) as compatible with 22/23 Expeditions, but not the rears anymore. Husky's website says they have nothing to fit new Expeditions.
It seems no one is selling compatible guards (more specifically rear guards) now for new Expeditions.
I did order a pair of the Weathertech front flaps to check out and they should arrive this week.

The question I have is, "Has anyone found a good option with some kind of universal fit guard, front and rear (or just rear), that is working well for them on their 22 or 23 Expedition?"

I purchased Weathertechs Mudflaps front and rear for my 2019 expedition. Front fit fine but the rears needed some modification, inner wheel well to be exact. A dremel took care of the fit so the attachments would work. Have had no problem with them. Have had a couple of carwashes with them on and no problem. I had thought of contacting them, but I was able to resolve the problem and didn't seem to waste my time contacting them. Just my experience with them.

Interesting. I have the complete set of WeatherTech on all 4 corners of our 2020. No modifications needed, and installed all 4 in like 35 minutes. No issues. I haven't looked at the rear wheel well of the 22+, but at first glance they don't appear to have changed. I wonder what is different.

I didn't see with my own eyes. I had a local shop do protection work (ceramic coat, clear bra, rust proofing, mid guards). They said they could only install the front WT guards (MY 22). I mostly wanted front guards to protect the running boards so I didn't push it. Wouldn't mind rear WT guards if they can be made to fit.

Our 23 Timberline has a black rock guard on the lower rear quarter panel. it looks like rear flaps are not needed. I put the weathertech fronts on.

Can you get a picture. Haven't looked at a Timberline too close.

I don't see any difference to our 2020, other than I believe that piece is painted on ours(Limited Max). Is yours textured, or over the painted piece? Now I need to find a 22, and pull up next to it in a parking lot and compare.

Gatorback has had rear flaps out for a while, but at a much higher price. They also have some polished stainless versions too if you're into that sort of thing. The attached isn't the best pic, but it's what I had on hand.

Weather Tech now list front and rear guards for the 23's, ordered some and got them today. Install for all 4 took about 30 minutes and are very good and clean fitting.

Rear ones are just 4 screws with nut plates and actually stiffen up the 2 sections of fender and lower valance. Front ones are 2 SS screws and washers and cam locks and fit great around the power running boards.

Both give good coverage for my 285 tires etc. Very happy with them.20230220_172138.jpg

I've been happy with the WT front flaps. They do a good job keeping ice off the running boards. Got a call last week from the shop that the backs are in, had a standing order since October. Hopefully it helps with ice build up in the back camper cover. The ice under the rear end has been triggering the rear hatch to open when the kids jump in and out oland shake 5he truck.

Ordered my set today for my 22. I'm disappointed at the price. WT has always been overpriced.
