I found 2023 F150 Raptor beadlock wheels and would love to use them on my Expy for winder and dirt road riding. I am hoping to run 33 inch M+S tires. I have a few questions:

- Will this wheel with a 33" tire work without modification?
- Will tire sensors on my 22" wheels work on the Raptor wheels?
- I love the ride with the 22" wheels, will doing this wreck the ride on the highway?
- General observation... my Expy has CCD sport tuned suspension. When I put the selector into Mud/ruts mode, it seems to soften the ride. Am I imagining things or does it work that way?

Am I missing anything?

Thanks

Yes

Yes, you can swap them out. Or simply get new Autel TPMS sensors and clone the ID's if you want to keep the take-offs as backup or sell as a whole.

Ride should generally be comparable or better with more sidewall. LT tires however do run firmer due to more plies/heavier construction. A tradeoff will be looser handling due to more sidewall flex.

This is generally how the system works. Different modes initiate different tuning scenarios such as engine response, suspension dampening (CCD), transmission, and the transfer case (such as low range or locked 4x4 if equipped).

Am I missing anything?

Thanks

Thanks Hilly. I am not sure if I will keep or sell the 22's. My biggest concern is that winter is coming and the 22" setup does not look to be up to the task. So, keeping the 22's will depend on the ride of the 17" wheels with 33" tires on the road. We love the ride of the 22" wheels that we have... at least on paved roads. Running 85 on the highway (where that is the speed limit) is no problem, the Expy is well behaved. I have no idea how the 17/33s will perform.

BTW: we have the heavy duty towing package, so 2H, 4A, 4H, 4L.

BTW2: Will the 17's affect towing? We mostly tow our Polaris Xpedition XP5. The trailer with the XP5 weigh around 4,500 pounds.

Are you a snowbird? I see your location is FMFL, but the mention of snow says otherwise. May not be bad to swap out the sets seasonally if that's the case. You'll get the best of both worlds, that is unless the Raptor wheels just look so good you can't take them off.

HD Tow is a must for me for multiple reasons, but the fact that you actually tow gear makes it a definite plus. The tow rating of the truck is based on the factory spec'd P-metric tires originally installed. Depending on your upgrade, a 33" tire on 17" wheels will almost definitely be an LT tire and they will handle it fine, and should technically be an upgrade as long as all weight capacity ratings are met or exceeded.

After 10 years of full-time RVing and spending half the year in Florida, we’ve decided it’s time to settle into a home. Right now, we’re leaning toward Wyoming or South Dakota (with Colorado still on the radar, but less likely). Dirt roads and snowy winters will definitely be part of the picture.

We’d love to live in Western Colorado, but the 4.4% state income tax and 8% sales tax are hard to overlook. Another reason for WY or SD is that both are OHV friendly.

Our plan is to head to Florida in late October, then once we sell our RV lot and motorhome, we’ll return to Colorado. We’ll live in our travel RV while house-hunting, then sell it once we’re settled and hopefully pick up a slide-in camper for the F-450.
