Hi all,

Purchased a brand new 2023 ford expedition max limited all blacked out on Feb 2023. From the day I took it off the lot it was clunking, bad fumes coming from the vents brakes squeaking. I didn’t even test drive it because there any of this type around my area and this was the only one fully blacked out. Couple months later dealer found it was burning too much oil so the long block was changed on the engine at 16,000 miles. The clunking of the transmission and bad frequent fumes continue. I’ve taken it to the 3 different dealers and non can replicate my issues. I’m taking it Monday to a 4th dealer to try one last time. It has now 35,000 miles. This has been my worst car I’ve ever owned and I paid top dollar for it. I can’t believe ford treats its customers this way. They even hardly gave me a loaner when they were doing the engine work which took approximately 3 weeks. My wife bought a new car as well around the time I bought mine and I won’t mention the make so that you don’t think I’m marketing for them but her dealer treats her very well. They take care of any issues she has and she hasn’t had any issues like mine. Just one time it was at the dealer for something with it not being able to go into drive and the dealer gave her a loaner, diagnosed the issue fix it within reasonable time. Ford on the other had has left me with a transmission that clunks all the time and frequent engine fumes entering the cabin while driving on the highway, small roads and anytime the car feels like giving fumes. I don’t f get it how these people are able to treat customers like this. I’m at my ends and looking to sue them. Anyone has any suggestions on fixing this garbage or lawyers to sue to these scammers? Thx

Does your state have a lemon law? Sounds like a perfect candidate. Truly a lemon. Seems like with all the problems off the dealership lot, the dealer was unaware of this? They certainly should have known. Definitely should have done a test drive though. Document everything and keep receipts. Your vehicle needs attention and the problems you are having need to be dealt with. If IL does not have lemon law, I would get a lawyer.

Too bad your first post has to be like this...

Contact an attorney to determine your consumer rights.

Lesson learned: Don’t make a major purchase of a new vehicle, without examining it in the daylight and taking a long testdrive.

If you prefer more pic of it from outside inside and show you proof of vin on the car. I’m being robber by ford and I’m at my ends ur here trying say I’m lying. I wish I was f lying but I have a $80k car that is garbage!

If you are the original owner, then the Expedition should be covered under Ford's powertrain warranty. If you believe that it is now considered a lemon based on each state's definition, then you might want to get legal representation. Most dealerships have the buyer sign an arbitration agreement at time of purchase.

I tried to have ford buy back the vehicle after they changed half of the engine at 16,000 miles on it but ford headquarters refused to buy it back because they said your ford dealer will fix any issues you have. I have to been to 3 different dealers and they all say transmission is fine. So if transmission is fine why can’t they figure out and fix my random kicking and clunking that I feel under my feet at random times. Also this vehicle has no air filtration because every smell from outside enters the cabin all the time. WE DO NOT HAVE THESE ISSUES ON MY WIFES NEW CAR. F U FORD.

Look up my records Vin:1FMJK2A86PEA44429
