2025 Expedition Thule Crossbar Horrible Wind Noise

We recently purchased a 2025 Expedition and the Ford crossbar option is no longer an option for the Expedition. We had a 2015 Expedition with the Ford brand crossbars and were very pleased with them. The option offered by Ford is now the Thule crossbars. These crossbars took the quiet ride of the Expedition and turned it into whistling wind tunnel noise. Horrible. Thule offers another add-on wind fairing piece (because apparently they know it is a problem)...but I am hesitant to spend even more money if this piece doesn't solve the problem. Disappointed in Thule is an understatement.

You have nothing to lose (except money and time....) - I’d order the wind fairing and install it, to see if it reduces the wind noise.

Who told you the cross bars weren't an option? On the expy, its a 200+ option. Ford parts have them for less than 175. They're not available on nav, but def available on expy. The ones we drove with them added some wind noise, but nothing uncomfortable. If you dont need the bars, take em off till you do.

See if Yakima sells an Aero bar that will fit.

I just installed Ford part JL1Z-7855100-AB on mine and they fit perfect. Very small noise but if you never drove without them I don't think you would even notice.
