Hi All,
I'm looking to replace my 2014 EL LTD due to rocker rust. I'm looking at Limited versions, regular or MAX, but do they all come with HD tow package? If so, do they have the trailer brake limiter thing? Also, I see some with and/or without 4L on the shift knob.
Thanks...Jamo

HD tow is an option for all models. The telltale sign is if the vehicle has the trailer backup dial and brake controller built in. And I do believe that HD tow will have the two speed t-case w/ 4L.
HD tow will also have 3.73 gears.

Thanks Rob,
I'll keep that in mind while searching. I don't tow heavy or often, mostly my old Ski Nautique through the Adirondacks. I like the extra rad's for cooling too. One thing I will avoid up here is power running boards. Not a good thing for our snow/ice/salt/sand.
I'm also unsure of difference between Limited and Platinum. Seems like most Plat's have the dreaded (to me) power running boards...

Platinum for 23 and 24 is a fully loaded flagship. The limited makes most of the features of the platinum available in a package or stand alone option. If you dnt want the power running boards, you'll have to start away from platinum. The base limited pkg doesnt have power boards. The xlt high pkg is outfitted like a limited, and can be optioned with the HD tow.

Thanks DLC...I had no idea they were making different levels of each, but I have seen leather in XLT's along with heated, but not cooled front seats. No fog lights in any XLT that I have seen...yet. I'm focusing on Limited, looking for the options I like...

For the years your looking for, I believe the xlt high package was the 202a pkg that has the heated and cooled seats, 201a has heated leather, and 200 only has cloth seats. Its the same for the limited, 301 is the base pkg, 302 is the limited high pkg, 303 is the stealth appearance pkg and 304 is the stealth performance package.

We have a 22 Limited with the 302 and it has the power running boards, heated and cooled seats, stereo is fine for the wife. We didn't want a higher trim level b/c we loathe the full-screen touchscreen. It has plenty of options for us and the Hvac hard buttons make it well worth not going up. It also has the 2nd row bench which is a unicorn.

Just purchased a 2024 Limited Stealth Performance and it DOES NOT have the HD Tow or the 4L transfer case. It has the 3.5L HO engine with whatever comes with that. I have the "Tow Prep package" which I assume installs the 7 pin and tow bar, but it does not have the backup knob or the brake controller "stuff" on the dash. I did see another stealth performance package Limited which was nearly identical except it DID have the 4L, the backup stuff, and the brake controller.

From the 2024 Order Guide, here's what is included with HD Towing on a Limited:

Note that HD Towing includes the 3.73 Non-Limited-Slip rear axle. ControlTrac with the eLSD 3.73 rear axle is a separate option.

I could never figure out how the power running boards would be viable up north when plowing snow. I always put on a chrome nerf bar type to help keep the ice and snow from denting the door a rocker panels.
