I have a 2021 Max with all the goodies - and captains chairs. Wish they were ben h, but not an option right now.
I want to use the 2nd row for my big dogs about 70lbs ea. I see some problems / concerns. Obviously the gap between the seats. However there's also a problem that the seat bottoms are tilted upwards, not flat.
I could easily just put a wide board or two across the width of the 2nd row. But the tilt in the bottom of the seats means any hard bottom covers to extend across gap to back of front row, doesn't sit level and would have a tipping point.
I'm sure someone out there has found a solution...help! We have a very long trip coming up in April!!

I made a solution when changing from 2nd row bench to captain chairs. I cut a piece of plywood, covered with carpet. I cut 2 slots for adjustable straps to support the board from the front seats, keeping the board and level and won't slide. Hit me up if you want pictures.

We built a box, covered in carpet, to fill the space between the seats. Makes a level floor with seats folded and provides extra storage, like for the headrests which we remove.
