Hello,
193K on mine, never opened, plugs only, beginning to tick / tap after start up. Is there a list or reference of eastern Pa. shops that know these engines like FTM ?
Thanks
David

I have 2010 limited 2wd with 283,000 now. I had Brian and his son Alex from BSG Automotive (FordTechMakuloco) 181 Commercial Dr unit b, Yorkville, IL 60560 ph: 630-687-1207.

I spent $6,500 for all the work done. I had a rattle at startup only lasting 10 sec. Since I have owned this truck for 12/13 yrs and have used 5w-30 full synthetic every 5,000 miles. These truck are very reliable when they are taken care of and serviced on time.

Items replaced at 250,000 on original engine and transmission.

The following items are replaced during the service: chains, tensioners, guides, tensioner arms, VCT solenoids, phasers, Melling HV oil pump, gaskets and oil change after. two heater hoses, oil pan removal for clean out, all engine mounts, transmission mounts, coolant hoses, new water pump, new spark plugs, new rocker arm, valve lifter, follower lash adjusters, new coolant.

I noticed you posted this in the Northwest forum but are in Eastern Pennsylvania. You might want to move.
With that said, I am in South Central Pennsylvania and would also like to find a list of shops. I could do the work myself but really don't want to.

Top says this is the northeast forum ?
I am in the same deal, I couldn't handle finishing the job to find a defective part on start up.

I would love BSG to do it, but 12hrs one way. Did you ship or drive it to him. I was hoping for someone closer that follows his suggestions and works on them consistently.

I live in San Diego and took the I-15 N, I-70 E, I-76 E and I-80 E to IL-47 S. I drove 15 hours straight, then took a nap in my truck for 4 hours, then drove the remaining 10 hours to the shop. I used the bathroom when i got gas only. I made hotel reservations at holiday inn express & suites yorkville by ihg. I took an Uber from the shop to the hotel. I was able to get there in 29 hours.

I took food in my yeti cooler and added water, energy drinks, gatorade, sandwiches, snacks. I ate dinner at Station One Smokehouse, flight tasting room & bottle shoppe for dinner in the same parking lot as the hotel. I did the same thing coming home and drove straight home. I use to taking road trips growing as a kid so it was no big deal.
