Thanks for an incredibly useful post. Bookmarked and saved as a .pdf! Obviously here because I considering a similar conversion on my 66kmile 2002, but I'd probably go with the F250 transfer box. Great to know it can be done. Question: were the headers worth the trouble now that they're in? I've gone back and forth on how much benefit you get from shorty headers (only ones I've seen available).
