Sometimes when I start the truck and it connects to my cell it tells me that 911 assistance is disabled. How do I enable it?!?!?

I have searched EVERY tab and setting on the display I can find. I have the user manual as a PDF and tried searching for how to turn it on and off to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The fact that I already looked at the manual is in my initial post.
The fact is "I looked at the printed manual to help"
I just looked at the printed 2023 manual. It's there and mentioned several times.
Additional From Ford:

How do I use 911 Assist with SYNC?

Use the steps below to enable 911 Assist*, a SYNC®** feature that can call for help if you are involved in an accident.
911 Assist is turned off by default. Before SYNC can make a 911 call:
  • You must pair and connect a Bluetooth®-enabled and compatible phone to SYNC.
  • You must "initially" enable the 911 Assist feature.
  • Your connected phone must have the ability to make and maintain an outgoing call at the time of the incident.
  • Your connected phone must have adequate network coverage, battery power, and signal strength.
  • Your vehicle must have battery power.
  • Your vehicle must be located in the United States, Canada, or in a territory in which 911 is the emergency number.
SYNC 3
  1. Press Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select 911 Assist.
  3. Slide the 911 Assist toggle to On.
SYNC 4A | SYNC 4

SYNC 4A and SYNC 4 only ask to toggle 911 Assist on or off while you are pairing your phone.

Note: SYNC 4A and SYNC 4 will not call an assigned emergency contact. They only dial 911.

I think you solved it. I have synch 4 (large screen right?) The only way to turn it on may be unpairing and re pairing the phone. Thanks.

Update for anyone reading this in the future looking for an answer

Unpairing and re-pairing my phone did nothing. 911 assist still disabled.

Then I did a "factory reset" from the touch screen which unlearns all your customizations, phone pairing etc. This time when I paired the phone it allowed to turn on 911 assist as shown in the above screen shot.

For the future there is a global setting that affects 911 Assist globally. It is under one of the features screens. It has to be allowed permissions globally, THEN you will get the proper prompt. It is by default...on. But if you turn location off(I believe) you don't get the option. I don't have direct access to a 4A screen right now to take picture of the setting.
