99 expedition Eddie Bauer edition AWD transfer case swap from auto to manual transfer case

I have a 99 for expedition 5.4 AWD 4r100 and I swapped the transmission and getting ready to swap the transfer case the one that is currently in the truck has a bad shift motor and it is causing the transmission to stay in neutral position all the time so I am going to put a manual transfer case in it just trying to research what all I need to know about the specifics of everything needed to complete the job

Replace bad shift motor couple of bolts and you are done. does not get any easier than that. If you want to cut the power to the front, do the brown wire mod.
Whatever you do the transfer case the front drivetrain will still spin 100% of the time no matter what.
