Im considering putting 275/70/18 on my '24 Timberline (stock is 265/70/18) and I'm curious to learn from those that have put larger than stock tires on their Expys...specifically, how is ABS behaving for you now? Previously, I had a 4Runner and after a small lift and new 275/70/17 (from stock 245/60/20) ABS was instantly worthless, it would just lock up the tires and i could never find a way to recalibrate...moot at this point, but obvy looking to avoid with this new Timberline.

Shouldn’t do anything to the Expy’s ABS. I’ve got 285 45 22 on mine from factory. A Timberline and my SPP are very close brothers.

Running 35's. No change in characteristics other than a little more braking force required due to the increased rotational mass.

Previous owner of 4th & 5th gen 4Runners, both that were lifted with larger tires. Never had a problem with the braking system related to tire size and lift. They were however notorious to experience sticking brake caliper pistons in rust belt areas that would make braking a nightmare, and sometimes to the point of an on-off state. Ask me how I know.

I put 275’s on my 2020 and the ABS was fine.

If I were here, you would know it !
Going 1 size wider tires should not have any effect on the ABS, nor should a taller sidewall...

Going to a different diameter tire & rim will though...

Lookie here for a comparison...

Going a different diameter tire and rim will absolutely not affect ABS functionality.
