scottdm, what size is your gas tank?

I have a max and want to know if the gas tank is the same size as the short wheel base.
It is not, the max has a larger tank.

I have a max and want to know if the gas tank is the same size as the short wheel base.

The max has a larger gas tank (~26 gallons) vs the short wheel base expy (~23 gallons), so the fuel tank skid plate will be a different part number for the max.

Scott, in this picture there are two side clips that don't seem to be on the parts list.
Do you recall if these side clips included with the shield or are they separate part numbers.

Sharing and aftermarket option. RCI Off-road F150 skid plates installed on a Expedition Max Limited 4X4 with Towing Package. Cost is $575 shipped with all hardware and I found a coupon for 5% off that.

3 holes had to be drilled in frame to get the rear diff plate to work(circled in photos).

Very front and 2nd plates attach together with bolt and speed nuts (not in frame and circled in photo) and still very sturdy. Supplied bolts there were trimmed down to avoid any chance of rattle. If needed, could drill frame there too and install speed nuts.

I removed all other shields when installing this. For oil filter access, will have to loosen front two bolts (slotted) and remove back two bolts. There is a oil plan drain plug access door. Pretty easy.

I like the look of these... what’s their thickness? I wonder how they compare to the FX4 ones.

The RCI plates are much more heavy duty than the factory plates for sure.
I have their transmission plate on my 16.
I’ll be buying the engine skid come April as they run a 20% tax time sale.
If my wife decides on a Sequoia to replace her Highlander it will get the RCI Tundra plates in April as well.

Check out posts 83 and 84 in this thread. Part numbers for the brackets in question are # JL1Z-6G079-A and # JL1Z-6G079-B

Hello guys!

Anybody can help with the part number for the items related to fuel tank skid plate and accessories/fasteners for the MAX version?

Will be really helpful if somebody can post a overall picture under the car with all skid plates in place (an FX4 or a regular Expy with all skids installed).

I made a fast check under my car and I identified 3 skid plates already installed from factory - please refer to pictures below:

Beside the transfer case plate (i guess not needed since 2WD model) and the fuel tank one, can somebody support me in indicating which skid plates are missing?

Thank you in advance!
