I have issue after dealer service about my 2023 Ford Expedition Max Platinum with Tasca Ford (Yonkers, NY).
After Tasca Ford dealer service, all 4 rims got scratches that can’t happen by driving.

Before I dropped the car, I called around 4:30 pm on Monday 10/07/2024 to do late drop-off for 10/08/2024 8am scheduled appointment. The lady asked what work I need and told her I got text for recall and your dealer scheduled the appointment. She check my appointment and said no recall show except rear cargo mat issue but not possible now because they don’t have any rear cargo mats at that point.

Very confused for cargo mat placing takes at least 3-4hours as told on the text I got from this dealer???

* I have text they sent me. (Text screenshot attached below)

Asked again to the lady and she said don’t know anything more about recall.

Anyway around 5:30 on Monday 10/07/2024, drop my car at Tasca Ford for recall and I asked tire rotation together to be done. It was written on the sheets they use. No paper was provided to me and just say will be done by appointment order.

Around 4pm on Tuesday 10/08/2024, I called to pick up my car and they couldn’t locate it. They said nothing shows in their system and ask me did I drop the car at their location. They put me on hold for 16mins and say can’t find my car. They said they will call me back and just hung up. After 15mins later, they called me back and said they found my car and start doing the work now and will be ready in an hour, means after 5:30pm (location closes at 5pm). They didn’t know my car was there from Monday afternoon for Tuesday 10/08/2024 8am scheduled appointment. They rushed after I called, found my car after 4:30pm. They told me my car will be ready in an hour (means after 5:30pm).

Felt strange because when they text me to schedule for the recall they said it will take at least 3-4 hours.

When I pickup my car, they said no recall work was done. They said no recall was opened except rear cargo mat issue.

Wednesday 10/09/2024, I went to pick up my car around 1pm and they couldn’t find my car again. Waited another 20mins and I found my car at the parking lot myself.

I walked around my car to inspect and found all 4 rims has scratches that never was there. Anyone can tell it’s not from driving, they were scratched from some sharp things or from the concrete floor by dropping.

Talked to the service assistant and he came out with the tablet that had the photos of my car when car was dropped. He compared with rims and his photos but couldn’t find any scratches from his photos. During comparing, the service manager came, took the tablet from the service assistant and just told me these scratches are not from their work. He didn’t try to check or compare and just say he can’t pay to fix and do anything because it’s not happened from them.

I told him I will leave my car till some solution suggested but the said they will charged parking fees if I leave my car on their dealer parking lot. The Service Manager told me he will give me a call at 4pm and I left around 2pm with my car. I didn’t got any call from the dealer.

I understand what the service manager explains and say these kind of scratches can’t happen thru the work process that was done. I also do know those maintenance works as I am a car lover. But if the mechanic didn’t do the work with care, these are easy happen issues.

The photos (they have) doesn’t shows these scratches because it wasn’t their before. The service manager seems and I felt he is just trying to deny this issue.

I think they rushed to do the work on my car on Tuesday after I called around 4pm, was done nohing. They found my car after 4:30pm (they close on 5pm) and rushed the work to finish on Tuesday.

What I guess is the mechanic rushed the work and may have “dropped” the wheel, allowing the tire to bounce and then it fell flat on the concrete floor (outside facing portion of wheel), scratching the face of the wheel.

Last 6 years, I leased one and purchased 5 new cars from this dealer, spent at least $230K~$240k. Very disappointed and frustrated as be treated like a jerk from these persons at the dealer.

What can I do?

Where can I report this issue?

How can I escalate this issue to be concerned?IMG_0846.jpegIMG_0847.jpeg

It's in the scriptures: This above all else. Thou shalt not return thine carriage to a dealership.
