Love the stance on the Z71. I have been complaining how low the Expedition is. Love the engine 'options' a diesel and 420hp 6.2l...V8! Watch Ford, make some needed changes to the Expy.

That stance isnt driving stance and the available options arent available to every trim. The top trim expy already has a higher power tune than base. These sit exactly the same as the expy and everything about it mirrors the current expy from specs to pkging to features except the addition of an air suspension. The base engine And diesel is gonna be too gutless for the size and weight gain and chevys gonna be asking ppl to pay $80k to $95k for the 6.2l(and more for the denali and escalade).

The 6.2 can be had in High Country trim Chevrolet and SLT GMC both can be had for well under 80k. I’d presume you could get an SLT with the 6.2 somewhere around 60k.

Seeing as the plat max starts at 77k and this truck will be brand new with an irs, i sure the high country suburban will start just at 80k or near it, tahoe around 3k less. Also, since gm pulled the 6.2 from premier and rst models, i wouldn't be surprised if gm also pulled the 6.2 from the slt trim and made it strictly for denali trim with the new model.

6.2 is still available on RST and High Country. GM is working on making it more widely available, I highly doubt the SLT will lose the option it just got it for 2019. You could never get the 6.2 in the Premier as far as I know only LTZ (high country). These def sit closer to the 3rd gen height it looks like. No specs yet.

The rectangular cover on the rear bumper, just above hitch cover - you think that is for a tow hook or is it possibly spare tire lowering mechanism access?

Like the Lincoln Nautilus, the amber lights haphazardly placed on the front wheel arch look like a last minute, oh-shit-we-forgot-those addition. Can't believe the headlamps couldn't serve the same function on either vehicle.

Nope. You can get a Tahoe with 6.2l right now for $65k.

High country won’t be $80k. And a fully loaded Denali will top out at $80k.

And I believe the new models weigh LESS than the previous gen.
