My 2018 had the rear passenger glass smashed and they took my wife's wallet. Not sure how this didn't set the alarm off when they jumped in and reached for the purse in the floor.

Insurance is thinking just the glass but I'd think it could be more since the safety glass was literally ripped out and crumpled up in the ground. That can't be good for the track/regulator right?

Have the glass replaced and the track inspected for visible damage. If it does not track properly and quietly have them submit a supplemental claim to your insurer.

Still unsure why the alarm didn't go off though.
Unless they actually opened the door the alarm won't go off. You would need an ultrasonic or passive infrared sensor inside to sense an intrusion like that.

That 18 limited has interior sensors and should have gone off.
Sometimes a big insect gets in and sets it off when it takes flight.

Maybe they had sensors cut off?

I don't think these guys were that prepared. It was a smash and grab for certain. As far as the sensor though, yes, it should have gone off.
