Behind console access

Maybe someone has a solution…2020
Expedition … I placed an envelope on
the front console between the cup
holder and the radio control laying
flat .. I discovered that the envelope
slid forward between the console
surface and the bottom edge of the
radio and heating controls. The opening is as wide as the console
and about 3/16 in high.

There does not appear to be a way
to get into the slot from the front
or the rear under the dash board ?

Any thoughts ?

Next time you have it apart to retrieve something place a piece of 1/4" of black foam tape with the 3M tape on the back in the crack. You can get it at any hardware store cheap and no one will notice it is even there. Of course you will as you won't lose anything else.
