Loud clicking in front dash when turning off 2015 xlt.
Also clicks whenever I open door after stopping.
I think it’s the blend door motor which ford replaced 3 years ago.
Is there a way to keep this from clicking til I get fixed?
Thanks

With the XLT - you probably have single-zone (front) HVAC?

There are several HVAC actuators in the front (heat - blend door) on the single zone vehicles. Perhaps play with the heat or mode selector to determine if it stops the clicking (by moving the actuator in the other direction, so it is not commanding full on or off). That may stop the clicking.

If you turn the HVAC system completely off it will stop, if in fact it is the HVAC actuators. Yeah I know its cold there for the next few days but warmer later in the week.

Or you can use my wife's solution to every automotive noise, turn up the radio. ;)

Replacing the blend door in my 2017 was fairly inexpensive and just a little bit of work. There are several videos on Youtube, just make sure you follow the one that has you removing the gas pedal first or your day is going to be much, much more difficult.
