So about a month ago I replaced my Transmission with a brand new 4R70W from Ford on my 2000 XLT 4x4 with the 4.6 at 212k, it was running and shifting smoothly almost like a brand new truck, then 3 days ago I noticed a very small leak from the transmission on my driveway where the tranny meets the engine, at which point I brought it to the shop that replaced my trans and told them about the leak. They kept it for a night, flushed it, redid the seals and added new fluid, no more leaking. Picked it up yesterday and it was running great when out of nowhere I start hearing a rather audible squeaking noise in traffic while idling at a light, thought it was the truck next to me and thought nothing of it at first, then the other truck took a left, I kept going straight and when I got to the next light I heard it again, an intermittent squeaking noise that would sometimes be constant while idling at the light, I thought it could be a bad belt or pulley so I figured I'd check on it when I got home. When I finally got home I put in park, popped the hood checked the belts and they looked and sounded fine, so I shut the hood and went to pull the key when all of a sudden I heard it again and it was constant, coming from underneath the driver door. So I got under there and sure enough the sound was coming from my Brand New Transmission that is not even a month old.. didn't have this squeaking noise before I had the leak fixed but now its intermittently constant when I put it Drive, Reverse and Park. Suffice it to say I'm at a loss and a bit pissed as I just dumped 3 Grand for a new transmission a month ago and now this happens. I plan on taking it back to the shop tomorrow but I would rather have an idea of what the issue is so I can scold them properly, hell I might just take it to a different shop entirely and have them take a look.
I know its kind of last minute fellas but any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
