It is designed to mitigate it, not eliminate it. Why have it there in the first place?

Catch Can’s are not a new concept.

It is a no brainer. Catch crap and prevent it from going into the Engine.

I added the extension to my can and in getting ready to head out on a road trip so I thought I would empty it. I was shocked to find about 5oz of fluid in it! It's been less than 600 miles. But sure I can keep up with this honestly. Photo is what the oil/ water looked like on a paper towel.
