Does the arm rest on a Navigator 2nd row console flip forward so it’s level with the buckets when dropped for a flat load floor, or does it stick up higher because Lincoln owners aren’t expected to haul things? Lol

I will be hauling a 3 wheel recumbent cycle. I need something to fill the space between the 2nd row buckets for the 3rd wheel to rest on. Also we’d like to go camping and toss a foam mattress in the back. I can’t decide to go factory jump seat or console. I know for sure the jump seat drops flat level with the buckets.

It does not move. It sticks up above the "floor" when the seats are all folded.

Its not difficult to remove and reinstall if it makes sense for your use. If you only do this on occasion anyway. It's just large though not especially heavy.

Somehow the text of this post disappeared.
This is a Ford Freestyle/TaurusX 2nd row center console. I liked how the armrest flips forward so it becomes the same or very close to the same height as the seats when they’re in cargo floor position. Also it’s narrower than the Navigator console, so the armrest can be left on the bucket seats. Wasn’t sure I wanted to go with it or find the jump seat. But today was nice weather and I found myself taking it apart, cleaning, and spraying with black vinyl dye. I trimmed the front edge where it had a slight curve for the Freestyle transmission hump.
